Mission: The Sanctuary, founded in 1995, grew out of the need to find permanent homes for dogs dumped in the areas in and around Lubbock, TX. In 2000 we applied for and received non-profit (501(3)c) status. The Sanctuary directs a great deal of effort to educating children and their parents on Responsible Pet Ownership and Safe Dog Approach. Our primary goal is to reduce the need for rescue by education of people on being Responsible Pet Animal owners.
Programs: The Sanctuary's programs are centered around education of parents and children on being safe and responsible owners. We present programs to day-care facilities, church groups, public or private schools and other civic groups on pet safety and responsibal owneship.
