Mission: Founded in 1978, Le Comite's purposes are to: (1) assist the Louisiana State Archives in its efforts to preserve the historical records of the State of Louisiana; (2) promote and facilitate the use of the Louisiana State Archives for genealogical and historical research; (3) collect and preserve historical and genealogical records pertaining to the state of Louisiana; and (4) promote and foster the publication of historical and genealogical materials.
