Mission: Mission is to enhance the lives of diocesan priests in their retirement years in recognition of their many years of dedicated service to the u. S. Catholic church, its laity, and communities throughout our country.
Programs: Cara survey report was sent to over 20,000 active and retired priests. Compiled data from a study of priests' compensation in the roman catholic dioceses of the u. S. - "the laborer is worthy of his hire". Through gallagher report commissioned by the organization a model pension plan was developed and mailed to over 24,000 priests and 300 bishops. Created a membership organization for senior priests which now has 250 members. Mailed quarterly newsletter of organization's activities. Created a website for priests to find information. Applied for and received a grant to assist up to 2 dioceses in evaluating their current pension and also to develop a transition plan for priests entering retirement.
