I am happy to be involved with Providence House as a new board member. This important organization in Collier County supports and educates single mothers and their children, and helps them rebuild their lives with dignity and pride to again become productive citizens.
I have been a Board member and Officer of Providence House for the past 9 years and have watched it grow into viable program for single mothers and their children. The care and guidance the staff of this organization has been above and beyond what would be considered normal. The graduates of this program have learned the ways to provide for their children and live normal lives.
The Providence House mission, to help mothers with children, inspires me to participate in fund raising events. The spirit of charity and joy that the volunteers have proves to me that this project is fulfilling many more objectives that it's primary mission. I believe we volunteers are thankful for the chance to give of our talents and treasure.
Providence House not only helps mothers and their children when they're lives are no where near stable but, they teach them how to solve problems that makes them feel overwhelmed. God asks us to love our neighbors as ourselves. This is what Providence House does. Congratulations on a job well done.

I have been a mentor for single mothers living at the Providence House for 4 years. I was given many talents from God so I decided to give back to our less fortunate. I could have gone many other places to mentor but I chose Providence House. Why? It is a caring & supportive & family oriented facility. Also I liked the concept that the mothers are held accountable & must adhere to a disciplined environment which will help them transition into society. Two of my mothers have graduated & are doing very well on their own, working & continuing their college education while raising their children.
I am privileged to be a part of the Providence House community.

What I love about Providence House is that they are focused on the family, and when they bring in someone new, it's not just a place to stay with childcare services - it's a complete rehabilitation that offers housing, protection from and knowledge of how to avoid negative influences, assistance with job placement, help accessing various education programs, support in obtaining professional counseling, spiritual guidance, and teaching of necessary life skills, among countless other services. The campus is a beautiful, spacious environment that provides mothers and their children with a serene place to live, eat, play, learn, and socialize. The spirit of Providence House is exactly what is needed from the women they take in, and they are committed to helping them rebuild their lives and that of their children's future.
I am blessed to be a part of the community at Providece
It is a warm, loving , supportive and healing place.
Truly it is a great model for all communities.
Giving to this organization is providing hope and success for the future.
God bless everyone involved: volunteers, donors, staff and program participants!
Providence House is a unique transitional program for really motivated women with young children. I say unique because this is not a shelter. The women who commit to the Providence House Program come from all different backgrounds and ethnic groups and have a desire to improve their life so they can provide a safe and brighter future for themselves and their children. Providence House provides a safe environment, mentoring, Life Skills classes, etc., while not receiving any government funding. All funds raised are by donation. The great part is that after a Mom completes the program (about 2 years) she is allow to take all the furnishings from her unit to get started in a new apartment! The women and children leave with a sense of pride and hope. There is no better gift. Thank you Providence House.
I have been volunteering for Providence House since April 2013. It is a privilege and is extremely satisfying to be a part of this remarkable Christian based Non-profit for Homeless or Abused Women with Children. I have seen women come into the program full of fear and broken because they had nowhere to turn. Providence House of Naples offers these woman and children hope and a secure and supportive atmosphere. Since my time here I have seen women graduate from the 2 year program completely self sufficient with careers in place and able to live life and most of all, care for their children in a safe and loving home. During the women's time at Providence House they attend Life Skill Programs that provide them with guidance and direction for everyday life strategies like staying on a budget, establishing savings accounts, finding fulfilling careers by attending college programs, "dressing for success", and healthy parenting skills just to name a few. The women also have a one on one case manager during their entire stay at Providence House. The organization is operated by highly skilled employees who genuinely care about helping these woman succeed. They are organized, professional and their doors are always open for the women. Providence House is nothing less than a Divine Providence from God for these women. They are offered a second chance at life and the success rate is prodigious. It is endearing for me to watch the women and children grow together. Above all it is heartwarming to see that upon graduation they are ready to embrace life... joyous, happy and free.
I was a single mother so I know how tough it is. I was fortunate to have a lot of help from my parents but not everyone is so lucky.
The program at Providence House helps motivated women get on their feet. Providence House is a two year program where the women learn how to better take care of their children by taking parenting classes, they take financial and budgeting classes and learn how to save money. Each woman is assigned a mentor for support and accountability. The success stories are so touching.
Some women have really, really tough lives with problems that most of us never have. It's so inspiring to see them flourish in the program at Providence House.
