I first got involved with Grace Place through my employer and I was able to witness their dedication to provide a pathway out of poverty through education. I have been able to support with different activities- from helping with their food pantry to facilitating financial literacy classes for young children. Grace Place lives up to its mission by supporting low income families and providing education, for the whole family, while raising awareness in the community to bring people together in their great cause. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to experience this first-hand and I look forward to continuing to support such a wonderful organization.

Came to Grace Place as a very lonely mom of 2 boys (2 yr &8 months), not knowing exactly how I could help both of my kids succeed academically and socially. After a few months I was inspired and became very self empower to keep on going while learning many activities to help them both. Each of kid was different so I was actually able to help them learn their own way, I found a family in all my classmates and my kids love each and everyone of the staff. At Grace Place you meet people that inspire you to be better not only for your kids or family but for YOURSELF.

I have watched Grace Place for Children and Families grow from a struggling, small non-profit into a leader of Early Childhood Education by establishing the Grace Place Family Literacy Model as a best practice in literacy. They have and continue to assist many families living in poverty to over come those obstacles and create a positive learning environment both at home and at Grace Place. The reason is their dedication to the education of the whole family. By teaching and involving the moms in their child's education, they empower the mom in a way they had never felt before. Many of the families are newly-arrived immigrants with little or no education even in their native language, Grace Place, through their many programs gives them the gift of self-worth and self-esteem so necessary for the growth of themselves and their children.

Grace Place for Children and Families is a tremendous resource for the Golden Gate community. It is helping to break the cycle of poverty by providing early childhood, school age and adult literacy education. They do a great deal on a modest budget, their results are visible and compelling: just talk to a high school student who has been at Grace Place since pre-k and you will be blown away by how impressive she is. That's what got me to be very involved with
Grace Place. I went to a donor appreciation luncheon and met some of the high school students. They were amazing! I believe every one of them will have a successful life, and every one of them benefitted from their time at Grace Place.

The Grace Place team was completely engaged with the Golden Gate community during the quarantine. They expanded the weekly food distribution, safely on campus, almost immediately after so many workers were furloughed. Donors generously provided funds to allow us to give hundreds of gift cards to families in need. And the staff quickly developed online activities for children and families, allowing everyone to feel connected and cherished. I'm very proud to support Grace Place!

Located in the heart of Golden Gate City, Grace Provides a safe haven for children and families
I have been an after school Volunteer for the past 8 years. I have worked with children from the
4th & 5th grades, helping them with their homework, reading, math and thier social skills. I have
watched children learn to play and work together in harmony. I have seen there test scores go from
barely passsing to getting A's. It is so heart warming to see a child get off the bus and to run to get
in line to be first to his/her classroom. I give of my time and get so much more back. I have several
pieces of art work that the children have drawn and colored to give to me to thank me for being
there for them. Wether you can give one hour or several hours a week it is well worth your time.
