kuli mela started a recording project called "kirtan shakti". "kirtan shakti - bhakti without borders" will be an album of devotional music meant to raise awareness and funds for underprivileged children in india. All profits from the sale of the recording will be donated to an international charity called food for life vrindavan (fflv), a humanitarian aid organization working in the poorest villages in the area surrounding vrindavan, india. Fflv services include education for 1,500 children (mostly girls) from kindergarten through inter-school, and training courses for adult women. Specifically we will request the funds go to help the girls' school where they provide food, uniforms, and medical assistance on top of their education.
