This year William and Martha Elliott passed away. They would be very excited to hear that we are making progress to bring the music not only to a future cheile (music party) in Balboa park, but continue to dream of creating a picnic in the gorgeous meadow on the Robbie Breadon CommonGroundNI.org Farm sometime soon on Zoom or live celebrating the Elliott musical and the songs released and still to be released. Bill and Martha gave us hope to risk serving at risk children and Betty White and Pat Finn gave us a state Education award to make sure that we would keep on going believing that we have all we need to begin the path to fulfillment and learning if we will take small steps towards a positive future.

Bo Lebo is a powerhouse of knowledge and activity enriching the community with ways to help kids using Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Math! Just a few weeks ago we brought books and materials that build brains and hearts through the arts to the Sherman Oaks Church of the Chimes Holiday event. Reaching out to the public through the arts makes learning FUN for everyone!
Evelyn Giang was the high school producer on this terrific innovative micro-documentary covering the new face of child care in California. Requirements 2 minute short that would use existing archives and build value for others. Think she makes the Cleveland Media Academy and CTE in California proud. An example of student captured content that can matter is showing work that might otherwise never be seen.
NB: Kids First at Hamlin teachers are featured in this short and they are open to more students this quarter and looking to develop two more ESC NW or LAUSD sites. Write them as part of NEO at www.kidsfirst.la or read about them at the landing page this holiday season here: http://neweducationoptions.networkforgood.com/

New Education Options has adopted KidsFirst at Hamlin and gardens, pedagogy, and working with music to inspire science exploration is alive and well in Woodland Hills this summer. Kids are learning "The Word Around me" in preparation for singing for GLOBE's annual conference. They are excited to learn about the Soil Moisture satellite after seeing Tomorrowland and going to the Cube at Hansen Dam. This is a tremendous program providing cognitive development activities along with tutoring, care, and innovation.
This public benefit educational corporation has served Greater Los Angeles and now the Inland Empire since 1999 and formed in 2002. It has been nominated for the Irvine Award by the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley and its work can be seen on Great Nonprofits.org. Betty White gave us a "Hero in Education Award" in a segment of the California Lottery program and we have continued to work with Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows", eco-literacy, English Language Arts and Reading Development throughout the LA Basin and our precious Californian Bionome.
Review from Guidestar
I like seeing the kids light up. Bill and Bo work magic in the children, drawing them into the event, singing or dancing. I like the expressions on the Moms and Dads watching their kids.
I am a volunteer working with English- challenged children. I've seen how the New Education Options program brings kids to life and stimulates them to find their own reasons to learn English.
