Causes: Mens Service Clubs
Mission: The kiwanis club #1 foundation of detroit, inc. Provides funds to the kiwanis club of detroit no. 1, the michigan district of kiwanis and kiwanis international to serve the needs of youth and the community, with special emphasis on the city of detroit.
Programs: Funds were distributed to various charitable organizations which provide or support educational and charitable purposes. Such programs include books for kids, kids against hunger, bringing up grades (bug) and the christmas gift wrapping program. Funds were also distributed to sponsor special needs camps for the summer, organizations such as children's hospital, salvation army, girl scouts and the ymca, and elementary, high school and college clubs or organizations.
