I trapped 4 feral cats for Kittico's Trap-Neuter-Release program and have had issued with every single one, including a pregnant cat that was supposedly spayed. Those are absolutely inexcusable results and indicate this agency is completely incompetent. --One cat's ear was not tipped (the universal sign for a spayed/neutered cat). --One cat was accidentally taken to Fort Worth and no one noticed until they handed me a cage filled with a different cat. --One cat that still comes to the house to eat has developed a large black sore around the stitch site that resembles an infection. How will that cat ever get treated for the infection? --One cat that was supposedly "spayed" DELIVERED A LITTER OF 4 KITTENS 62 days after her "surgery"!!! That means she was five or six days pregnant during her "spay" procedure, which would have removed any fetuses if the surgery had actually happened. That's totally absurd!! So, now my 70+ grandmother still has a colony on her hands after all that trouble AND EXPENSE (it's 55 bucks a cat). Please do not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE use this agency!! There are many other non-profit feral cat programs in the area. Please use one the them instead. This is a complete and total failure of a spay/neuter program.
KittiCo is a wonderful organization based in Dallas. It specializes in the trap, neuter, and release of feral cats and stray cats. It also provides low cost services to those that can't afford to take their critter over to the regular vet. If you live in the DFW area and have a few strays in your area... give KittiCo a call and make arrangements for them to come out and get those little critters their shots and to get them spay/neutered at no cost to you!! I have used them for more than 5 years and having nothing but great things to say about the organization
