Mission: Keystone development partnership is dedicated to develop or enhance labor/ management partnerships by engaging working men and women and their employers in creating work force development solutions by accessing the resources needed to ensure sustainable economic growth for the commonwealth of pennsylvania.
Programs: Luzerne schuylkill workforce investment board (lswib) northeast pa food processing and logistics and transportation industry partnerships-the lswib hired kdp as project manager for the food processing and logistics and transportation industry partnerships funded by the pa department of labor & industry. The industry partnership (ip) subsidized training for incumbent workers in the twelve counties served by the lswib, the lackawanna, northern tier, and poconos area workforce development boards. Kdp assists the participating boards to identify stakeholders (employers and unions) for the ip and facilitated the governance over the training programs. Kdp staff worked with the stakeholders in the targeted lwib areas and provides coordination of activities to maintain contact with the stakeholders on a regular basis. Kdp coordinates activities to ensure that the ip activities meet eligibility requirements.
jobs for the future-jobs for the future (www. Jff. Org) is the lead organization for the next gen industrial manufacturing technician (imt) project. This is funded by a five-year us department of labor american apprenticeship grant. The project will enhance apprenticeship in manufacturing to promote industry growth in eight states - wisconsin, michigan, minnesota, illinois, ohio, kentucky, indiana, and pennsylvania. Kdp is the project manager in pennsylvania. Kdp serves as a clearinghouse for industrial apprenticeship information and provides technical assistance. In this capacity, kdp assists unions and their employers to customize and register manufacturing apprenticeships with no cost for the services.

Wai is working with three sub-contractors to expand apprenticeship along with individual subject matter experts.
