CCAI has been so welcoming and supportive to me as an adult learner of Chinese language and Tai Chi. I so appreciate the encouragement and support, as well as the excellent personalized instruction. I can't thank them enough!
I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I was introduced to Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute (CCAI) through a good friend and have been taking dance lessons at this organization. I also take dance lessons at other studios. CCAI has a very friendly environment and the best teacher you can find in the area. The instructor Ms. Tsuei, a graduate of The Juilliard School, was an outstanding instructor. She was kind, patient, a perfectionist, but at the same time teaching in accordance with my aptitude. I am really thankful!.
The CCAI community is so caring, supportive, and wonderful to be a part of. I have been dancing here since I was 5 years old and they have become a second family to me. I will always be grateful for the things I’ve learned and the opportunities they’ve given me.
I went to watch their performance in Los Angeles in 2009. The performance was spectacular. I can tell those student dancers worked so hard and dance instructors taught the students well. I hope CCAI will come to perform in Los Angeles again.

I was very impressive by CCAI, an organization from PA to support 2023 Lunar New Year celebration in Rockville Town Center, MD. Based on curiosity, I took my children to watch the performances in the rain. We were amazed and enjoyed high quality shows. This organization is very actively participating in cultural and community activities and bringing exquisite traditional and modern Chinese performing arts to the audience, becoming the focus of arts and cultural activities in not just for Chinese community but also for general public. My family also attended Lantern Festival event in F Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Rockville MD. We enjoyed CCAI's high quality art events.
As a student who took Chinese dance for over 10 years, CCAI has offered me an enriching experience that extends well beyond solely Chinese dance. Through their programs, I've acquired not only exceptional dancing skills but also invaluable qualities like dedication and performance expertise. CCAI demonstrates a deep commitment to its students, providing numerous opportunities to showcase our talents at various events. Their genuine care for their students and their sharing of knowledge about Chinese culture is truly remarkable.

I have been dancing at CCAI for about 9 years now and has been a huge part of my life ever since then. They have taught me not just chinese dance, ballet, and chinese culture, but life long lessons. I am glad to say that CCAI has played such an important role in shaping my character. I’ve learned to have dedication, passion, confidence, and discipline. Additionally, social skills and stage pressence. Being part of CCAI, gives students a great amount of opportunities from several performances to many other events. They also provide many extra fun activities every now and then to help us learn more about chinese culture which includes classes such as cooking and art. The teachers there are all so caring and make CCAI feel like your second home. My dance teacher, Chen Yu, is truly invested in what she does and does much more than just teach us dance. She makes sure her students are not just being the best dancers they can be, but the best person they can be which means outside of CCAI as well. Both Bill and Chen Yu are always working hard to give the students as many opportunities possible. I am also so thankful for all the strong friendships that I have made over the past few years. Everyone is so caring and genuine. It’s such a loving and positive place. CCAI is my happy place and will always have a huge part in my heart.
I have been fortunate to use the services of the Chinese Cultural & arts Institute of Harrisburg. I have taken Mandarin language classes and Tai-Chi arts classes at CCAI for nearly four years. The health benefits of the classes have improved my mental and physical abilities tremendously. The quality of the classes and the relationship with the staff are top notch. I value Bill & Chen-Yu’s understanding of their commitment to the nonprofit charitable organization. The high-quality classes and personalized curriculum offered at CCAI are simply not available elsewhere in the greater Harrisburg area.
Sincerely

The Chinese Culture and Arts Institute near Harrisburg, PA is of great benefit to the community. I have used the Institute to gain a basic understanding of the Chinese culture, social practices and language prior to leaving for an 8 month job assignment in The People’s Republic of China. It was super beneficial! I also have taken Tai Chi lessons at the CCAI with my wife. Another great thing the Institute offers is Chinese Music and Dance. I thoroughly enjoy their public recitals each year! CCAI is a great community partner that offers very unique and valuable insight to the arts and culture of China.

Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute is an amazing place to learn dance! I came here to learn the basics of ballet a few years ago, which was very beginner friendly. During the pandemic, classes were available online which was convenient for me since I was able to practice dance from the comfort of my home. And to perform it in front of audiences allows us to open other people’s eyes to the art of Chinese dance.

I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction and provide a glowing review for the incredible experiences I have had at the Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute. This esteemed institution has undoubtedly enriched my family’s understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture through its exceptional programs and dedicated staff.
What truly sets the Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute apart is the exceptional talent and knowledge of its instructors. Their expertise and passion for their respective disciplines were evident in every session, as they took the time to ensure that each student fully understood and appreciated the nuances of Chinese art forms. Their patient and supportive approach fostered a positive learning environment, allowing my kids to grow and develop their skills at their own pace.
Furthermore, the institute's commitment to preserving and sharing Chinese cultural heritage is commendable. Through various events, exhibitions, and performances, they actively promote cultural exchange and cross-cultural understanding. These initiatives not only showcase the beauty of Chinese arts but also provide a valuable platform for students and visitors to connect with one another and appreciate the rich diversity of our world.

This institute is a gem in our community, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities it has provided us to delve deeper into the rich tapestry of Chinese arts and traditions.
Thank you once again for providing such an exceptional platform for cultural learning and exchange.
I am giving my strong support for Chinese Culture & Arts Institute to continue its operation. And also, many people including my family are expecting CCAI’s performance at Washing D.C. metropolitan area next year.
I knew Chinese Culture & Arts Institute (CCAI) when I was a graduate student at Hershey Medical Center in early 2000’s. At that time, CCAI attracted local people and their children who loved dance, art, and Ancient Chinese Culture at all ages. After moving away from Harrisburg for almost twenty years, I am impressed that CCAI is no longer just a local Institute. CCAI has been invited to performing various festival events year by year, including Lunar New Year Dance, at Washing D.C. metropolitan area. I believe CCAI not only provides benefits for Harrisburg local people, but also bring traditional Chinese folk dance and art beyond Pennsylvania to Washing D.C. metropolitan area. At Washing D.C. metropolitan area, we have several generations of Chinese people and people with different ethnic background living here. We all like to watch CCAI’s performance because dance and art do not have boundary for all ages of people with various cultural background.
This is a great organization that educate, inspire, and nurture people of every age, gender, and race by providing a variety of programs and highly regarded Chinese dance classes. Thanks to this institute's persistence on creating a cultural of excellence, not only does it provide outstanding learning environment for the students, it also brings tremendous impact to the community through many performances and activities for different events at various organizations. Central PA is really lucky to have such a wonderful Cultural and Arts institute.

Our family of four (mother, father, son, and daughter) have all been active participants of the CCAI community for the past 12 years, and it has been more culturally rewarding and enriching than we could have ever hoped. We have participated in a wide variety of classes ranging from traditional Chinese dance, painting, and yo-yo classes to music electives including study of the Chinese Er-hu and battle drum. But CCAI has meant so much more to our family than just the classes it offers. The organization serves as the headquarters for a rich cultural enclave within central Pennsylvania; Chinese-American families from all across the state congregate at the charity events, holiday parades, and performances that are hosted and sponsored by CCAI. This organization has become such a crucial, integral part of the life and livelihood of our family, and has bonded us with many other Chinese-American families through a set of experiences and memories that we will all cherish forever.
I have been taking painting and calligraphy classes at CCAI for about two years now. The teachers are very professional and willing to help students learn. They spend extra time to make sure students learn the material they are given. The organization also holds cultural presentations from time to time that the general public can enjoy.
CCAI is a great institution with the best instructors of this kind teaching Chinese culture and arts. It provides both youth and adult programs to students aged from under 5 to over 70s. Ms. Chen-Yu Tsuei, Founder and president of CCAI, is the best dance instructor I ever know. Mr. William Hubler, CEO and board Chair, manages the organization with extreme professionalism.
Great organization! I took the chinese class and had a really good experience. Miss Diana is patient and a great teacher.
I have joined the CCPA's adult dancing class since 2017. CPCA is a very friendly community. I have learned not only Chinese traditional dancing skills but also built good relationships with my classmates and teacher Ms. Chen-Yu. It is a very important part of my life and the Chinese American community.

My daughter went to their programs for several years until she graduated from high school.
I have to say that she learned lots of Chinese characters and able to have conversation in Chinese.
This really helped when she took Chinese as a foreign language at high school.
Thanks CCAI.

Teachers are very knowledgeable and have patience towards every students. For example, the Chinese drawing explained the themes and steps for the final outcome. Of course, the younger student or beginners could get it the first time, second time, even the third time, but the art instructor still patiently explained how to do it. She even hold the student's hand to try the strokes. Thank the teacher so patiently teaching.
Watched their performance several times at festival. Good job, well done!

The Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute is an indispensable cultural organization in the central Pennsylvania region. It offers classes in Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Dances, Chinese Language, and Chinese Painting, etc.) and it presents many performances and exhibitions through the years. These classes serve as a platform and venue for the promotion of Chinese culture in the region. Promotion leads to awareness; awareness leads to understanding; and understanding brings inclusion through the sense of community.
Our organization was committed to hiring an executive who was from the Chinese community. It was important for he and his wife to know that if they relocated to Central PA, they would have a community. CCAI was exceptional in putting together a dance troupe to entertain the executive and to allow his wife to attend a dance class. The executive and his wife opted not to come to Central PA but shared that what CCAI had done made the decision difficult for them. Our organization is indebted to CCAI for their assistance and for their presence in the community.
The Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute has been a big part of my life ever since I was five years old. I started attending this organization when my parents were looking for a good place for me to start learning Chinese language. I started attending, and soon realized that also wanted to take their ballet, Chinese dance, and painting classes as well. As I grew older, I even took part in a Chinese drumming class and Latin dance class. Now that I am 18 I often think about the multiple ways that CCAI has benefited me. Attending this organization not only helped me train my body through their dance classes, but also help me train my mindset, with the teachers often telling me to work hard and strive to do my best in everything I want to do. The teacher is not only gave me motivation, but also became people that gave me help whenever I needed. My classmates became lifelong friends, and the other students were people that I wanted to perform well for so they would look up to me. I wish nothing but success for this nonprofit, and hope that it will be a place for all to enjoy throughout the years.

I have been at CCAI for a majority of my life and I feel as though this place has truly became my home. I attend class four times per week and regularly help teach others about dance as well. It is honestly one of the best organizations out there that will truly teach you everything you want to know about Chinese culture. Aside from all of that, CCAI is also filled with a great community with tons of people to help out when someone is in need, I can not elaborate just simply how wonderful this place is and how it has become part of my life.
This is an exceptional cultural nonprofit organization. You probably expect an dance studio at this level in NYC, San Francisco, LA or another major metro area; but it’s in Harrisburg and has been here for nearly 20 years. This says something, doesn’t it? I always enjoy watch kids dance on stage. Each recital CCAI has held these years show high standard and the quality far exceeds what you expect. Hope CCAI have another successful year!

CCAI has become one of my favorite places to attend each week. This is a a great environment for nurturing kids not just on how to dance but also to a delicate taste in performing art. I truly believe the time students spend at CCAI will, if not has become their life to certain degree, because of the attachment to the institute, confidence and lifetime friendship built up in classroom. I have been a student of this institution for the past 7 years and I can’t even being to express just how much they have done for me and I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to grow up in. I am looking forward to many more years to come within this institution.
I’m extremely grateful that I found CCAI. I adopted my son in 2017 from China. I wanted to find a place that allowed him to learn about his culture. Not only did he start taking language classes, he enjoyed watching the older students dance and drum. The older students are great role models for the younger children. The structure and comradery between students and instructors at CCAI is amazing!
As an ex-counselor of NY FASCA, I had worked with Chen-Yu & Bill, the owners of CCAI for the past six years. They had dedicated their time & skills to teach all different types of Chinese culture dances & explained the meaning of the dances to FASCA students.
Chen-Yu is very experienced & patient on teaching. She also encouraged me to help NY FASCA to make videos on YouTube during pandemic time. She even taught people how to make masks on YouTube to protect themselves from Covid-19.
I really appreciated Chen-Yu & Bill donating their time to benefit so many people.
This is a wonderful cultural nonprofit. It is hard to believe that it is in Harrisburg, PA and not a NYC, LA or another major metro area. The quality far exceeds what you expect. The founder is world renown. CCAI is currently under Eminent Domain and they need your help. Please help and support CCAI.

My daughter is learning dancing in CCAI. It’s a nice and warm-hearted place, the teachers are very professional and responsible, the big kids are nice and kind to little kids. It’s like a big family. My daughter loves here so much.
For past 10 years I worked with CCAI Bill and Chen-yu during FASCA-Princeton summer students volunteer training camp.
Every summer, Bill and Chen-Yu donated their time and skills to teach students to learn Chinese dances and culture . FASCA-Princeton students learned all different types of dances and understand the meaning of all the dances. We had a lot of fun and enjoined learning all the dances together.
I am very proud of having the chances to work with Bill and Chen-Yu. Thank you CCAI Bill and Chen~yu for all your hard work and contributions to FASCA-Princeton students.
My daughter was part of their many styles of dance from Chinese, ballet, hip hop and traditional. She also did painting, learned Chinese and painting. She completed the programs when she graduated 12th grade. This has lead her to be part of the ballroom dance club at both colleges she is attending. She has won many dance competitions due to the lessons from this Institute. She was taught how to apply make up for her performances and is a very independent young adult. It is more than a dance studio, it teaches lesson on life and responsibility.

I am truly honored to be associated with this wonderful organization since the very beginning for their devotion to the arts, teaching, and community services not just by words but with deeds!

CCAI is a great institution. I was a student there for 13 years, taking Chinese dance, painting, language, and ballet classes. Aside from the classes, I felt like the teachers really had a positive role in my life. I started dance in my teens, which is a little later than preferred, but they believed I can excel when I thought I couldn't. I carried that confidence with me from then on and it has taken me so far. I definitely recommend CCAI to anyone who is curious in learning more about Chinese culture. Great institution and I also made some great friends there!

CCAI is a exceptional organization committed to show cultural diversity. The children and adults who show the Chinese culture, ballet and language are Taught by the best teachers. My granddaughter has been going to CCAI nine years and it has shown her the culture she would have never know. Every year with the exception of the last year there is a recital that is performed and has always been magnificent. They also have Chinese cooking on live stream which is very educational. This is a great non profit organization in central Pennsylvania I know of no other one to advance the Asian Culture and to be role models for the children and community like CCAI
Having been a member of CCAI for over 10 years, I've found that CCAI is a wonderful organization, both for its students and its audiences. CCAI does a great job spreading awareness of Chinese culture and instilling a strong work ethic and sense of professionalism through high quality instruction in and performance of dance, language, and other arts.
My daughter has been attending the Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute since she was around 4 years old. We have been coming to CCAI for a little over 9 years. Since this time my daughter has taken dance, calligraphy, language, drumming as well as ballet and pointe. This isnt just a place to learn about Chinese culture they are family. Mrs Diana Meng is an extraordinary teacher for language and painting. Bill and Chen-Yu have created a wonderful place for all students young and old to learn and come together. I highly recommend CCAI for anyone who wants to learn about the Chinese culture.
This organization is such a gift to the community. They provide world-class education in a variety of skills and cultural areas. But more than just that, Ms. Chen-Yu and Bill have created a family. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to learn Chinese ribbon dance with them before I moved out of the Harrisburg area.
My 6 year old daughter wanted to learn Chinese. Beyond language skills training, they teach traditional Chinese Arts including dance, calligraphy, and drumming. The whole school is inclusive and all of the students have a healthy enthusiasm. The staff nurture the kids. But they also ensure the element of fun. I would recommend it highly.
My wife and I were planning a trip to China, our first, for June 2019. Neither of us knew a word of Mandarin, but we wanted to learn some before we went. I did an online search and found the Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute. I had never heard of them. But they signed us up for personal lessons from Diana Meng, one of their best teachers. She was great! We were definitely the oldest students there, but Diana went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
Great service. I had my daughter taker summer classes for chinese language and the chinese dance class. And we will continue the class. My daughter love it. Very friendly teachers and uncle bill. Mrs. Chen is the dance teacher, drum, which is very experienced and knowledge of dance also well prepared each time when kids show up in the class. Mrs. Diana is language, chinese painting and calligraphy. Beautiful art works. Great place to take your kids for education. Feel very welcome each time when we were there.
This is our third year with CCAI. Hard to believe since it feels like we've been there forever. Unlike many of the families here, I have boys that don't dance here. I bring them for the language program in hopes that they will be bilingual. Since they're not interested in learning, it's a struggle to get them to class and to do their homework. But once they're in class, they do learn. Their teacher is a saint for her patience with their shenanigans.
If not for attending this school, my boys would not know as much as I would want them to know about their culture (they're mixed) and I'm second generation so my knowledge is already decreased compared to natives. This school provides opportunities for celebrating our culture.
In addition, every year, they put on a fantastic spring gala that features the students in dance, art and the language classes put on a play. This isn't a low level recital type event; it's a full blown, could be professionals level performing event. Again, while my children did not want to do it at first, they have learned valuable lessons from doing so. One even remarked that presentations in school are not hard after having done this.
I highly recommend attending this school for their language, dance or fine arts programs!! Even though my children do not attend the other programs, I have seen the quality of their work and it's amazing. If I had more time, I would take classes there too! (maybe when my kids are grown)

We're starting our second year at CCAI. I returned to this school because it's a family environment. Everyone is welcoming and works together to get things done. It's not a traditional Chinese School (my kids go for language classes). There aren't bells to indicate the start of class time, break time, end of class. There aren't hundreds of students and parents. It's a more intimate setting. When one method wasn't working, the teacher changed to engage my kids (boys ages 12, 11 and 9) better.
There is a mandatory performance in the spring. As the parent, I was quite nervous and worried if my children could pull it off. But it ended up being a wonderful production and my children even enjoyed it.
I wish there were more hours in the day so my boys could experience all that this school offers.
I have been attending CCAI recitals for 10+ years. Ms. Chen Yu's dance's choreography and music are very professional. The drumming is awesome. The Chinese plays are very entertaining. Ms. Diana is a very positive teacher and a role model, and her paintings are beautiful. My granddaughter and I have learned alot about the Chinese cultural through CCAI. I am very thankful to CCAI for teaching my granddaughter.
My daughter has been going to CCAI for 9+ years. CCAI has given her confidence, inspiration, and an extended family. Chen Yu and Uncel Bill are more than teachers, they are family. I'm so thankful we found CCAI.
Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute has given me so many amazing experiences over the years! I absolutely love being able to share my culture and heritage with others through Chinese dance. I have made so many lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute does an amazing job of giving their students opportunities to perform and make an impact on our community. I honestly could not imagine the past few years of my life without Chinese dance!
The Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute in Harrisburg, PA is an amazing non-profit organization in Central PA. I am very grateful for the opportunities my adopted daughter has been given by participating in Chinese dance for the past seven years through CCAI. Not only does it connect her with her Chinese culture, but it gives her opportunities to volunteer at numerous events which enlighten others to her culture through beautiful traditional dances choreographed by her teacher Chen-Yu Tsuei. My daughter enjoys learning the dances and values the friendships she had made through dance.

We value the opportunity our adopted daughter has to learn Chinese dance through the programs offered by the Chinese Culture Arts Institute. For our daughter to be able to learn Chinese dance is fulfilling one of her dreams. We are grateful that Chen-Yu and Bill have an interest in sharing the rich Chinese culture to students who have an interest in learning more about their heritage. We feel fortunate to have found the Chinese Culture Arts Institute!
Everyone there is like a huge family where we all support each other. The teachers are a truly invested in the kids learning experience. It’s great for all ages with classes for everyone
CCAI is an outstanding organization. They were a huge help to Brittany's Hope Walk of Love event. The students and staff were amazing, they did a beautiful job sharing the Chinese culture and art with our participants, especially our recipient families with adopted children from China. It's wonderful to have this cultural nonprofit right in our backyard. Thank you to the staff and the students of CCAI for your support in 2018.
CCAI was like a second family for me in the past year. I was new to the Hershey area with a young family and knew I'd only be there for a year, but I was warmly welcomed into the adult class. I looked forward to all the classes and rehearsals because they were fun, challenging, and engaging. We've since moved from the area and I wish I were still able to attend CCAI!
My daughter has been a language and dance student at CCAI for over 3 1/2 years. As an American born Chinese, it was important for me that my daughter experiences the Chinese culture and arts. CCAI has and is providing her those experiences. Bill, Chen-Yu, their teachers and the experienced parents have been so welcoming and helpful to us. I highly recommend CCAI for anyone who is interested in the chinese culture and arts.
The Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute is the leading Asian cultural nonprofit in the Harrisburg region. Miss Chen-Yu, Miss Diana, Miss Lizhu, Andy, and the other PROFESSIONAL teachers are nationally and internationally recognized. Miss Chen-Yu and Miss Diana are recognized Masters in their traditional Chinese arts forms by the National Endowment for the Arts, Andy is recognized as a top 25 classical musician by the NYT. Throughout the Mid-Atlantic, CCAI and it's staff are recognized for their preservation of traditional art forms. These are teachers/masters who teach from their lifelong professional training, not from some online video. If you are looking for real traditional instruction in traditional Chinese dance, painting, calligraphy, music, theater, opera, Lion Dance, etc., CCAI is the place to start.
This program that saying or running is amazing. My son has been asking me to learn Mandarin since he was in elementary school around third grade. I've looked for that many years to find him a school to go to. Now he is 13 and in 8th grade and I found the Chinese Cultural Arts Institute. His experience there has been amazing, the teachers are great! They are very understanding and helpful. I am a single mom and there were times that I may have missed a payment and they said that was fine they work with me and they still out of my son to come to the classes. They said the most important thing is that the kids learn their not about kicking kids out just because they can't afford it. Tell me what other place will say that to you? Especially a non-profit?
CCAI is a wonderful organization to represent the culture of China. They recently attended our event to share with children Chinese culture and spread good will. They were professional, but also fun! I know that many children had a wonderful time interacting with them. We hope to partner with them again!
As a graduate of CCAI, I have to say that there are no other Chinese culture-based organizations in Central Pennsylvania that compares to CCAI. CCAI provides the top traditional Chinese dance training, Chinese calligraphy classes, and Chinese language lessons. There are also more dance classes offered beyond traditional Chinese dance-- the teacher is a Juilliard School graduate and she also teaches ballet classes. CCAI is a community-based organization, volunteering and serving at community events throughout Pennsylvania. Students have opportunities to perform dances several times a month at events.

As a student at CCAI, I cannot imagine my life without it. I have not only learned about Chinese culture, traditional Chinese Dance, and painting, but I have also learned about how to communicate, be a teammate, and work hard. Without CCAI, I would not have been able to say that I have competed at a dance competition in Los Angeles or performed for the governor. I would not be who I am today if I had stopped attending CCAI, and I know that in the future, I will cherish the memories that I have had here. The experiences, friends I have made, and knowledge I have gained will stay with me forever.
Ten years ago, I took Chinese language classes at CCAI and attended their Chinese language summer camps learning not only language but also Chinese cooking, dance, and art. Though it was a small organization at the time, my summers and evenings spent studying at CCAI remain some of my favorite childhood memories and I directly credit my teachers and friends at CCAI with inspiring me to continue my Chinese language studies. Today, I'm an undergraduate student studying in Shanghai, speak fluent Mandarin, and have worked for several bilingual and Chinese journalism companies. Thank you, CCAI, for inspiring me to learn more.
Such a treasure in our area. CCAI has nurtured my daughter from a little girl to a young woman. She has grown up with the owners and the children and considers them all an extension of her family. Almost grown, she is now setting her sights on college with lots of support from CCAI. She continues to enjoy traditional Chinese dance, and Chinese painting at CCAI. Her experiences dancing and performing with CCAI will last a lifetime for her. Forever grateful the CCAI for helping our daughter come into her own.

My daughter has been attending CCAI for many years now. She has enjoyed traditional Chinese dance, Chinese language and Chinese painting. Now that she is in her final years of high school she is being tutored for her SAT's at CCAI! Her tutor is very patient and explains things in a way that she can understand. She has built lifelong friendships with the other students and owners. CCAI will always be in her heart.
My daughters are adopted from China, so I want to provide an opportunity for them to learn about their birth culture. My older daughter is very serious about her dancing. Miss Chen-Yu is not just a Chinese American that teaches dance; she is very accredited with a degree from Julliard and she teaches the children to perform to their ability. I love that my daughter can maximize her dance potential, learn about her birth culture, and spend time with other Chinese American adopted children all in one class! My younger daughter takes Chinese painting classes with Miss Diana. Miss Diana is an excellent painter and a kind, patient, and encouraging teacher. We have been thrilled with how well she works with our daughter's unique personality. She encourages our daughter to stretch outside of her comfort zone and accomplish things she never thought possible.

The Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute (CCAI) serves an important role in helping individuals throughout Central Pennsylvania to learn about Chinese culture through dance, art, and language lessons. There is simply no other similar organization here that does this work. My children have had wonderful experiences through their participation in programs through CCAI.

The Chinese Cultural and Arts Center of Harrisburg is a wonderful resource for central Pennsylvania. Its students have allowed residents of the area to get a true experience of the arts of China through their performances in music, dance, painting, and drama. Harrisburg is lucky to have CCAI.
On June 17th 2017, as the host of the annual Intl & Culture Festival EXPO at Kiwanis Lake - York PA, I had the esteem pleasure of meeting the Chinese Performers Mandarin Drummers. The youth male drummers opened up during our ancestral commemoration and every listener, from team, vendors, children, parents other performers were captured and infused with a sacred and vibrational sound that placed is in a common unified synergy that carried us through the day. The young men took their position with confidence and purpose. They had gained the audience attention and many were astounded by their presence and delivery. We desire for the drummers to be with us next year - June 16, 2018. Their offering of peace, unity and healing for community uplift was well received and the clouds literally rolled away and it did not rain with scattered thunder storm as predicted. The power of the sacred drum and the vessel that avails to communicate the message through the drums will forever be fortified with a bright future. Thank you for consenting to be with us. Let's stay in touch my friends! P.S. please share with me any pics you have of them so I can post with festival album.
Respectfully,
Dr. L. "Akilah Karima" McDaniel
What an exceptional group of performers. The CCAI performed at the local Amani Festival in Carlisle PA, celebrating the diversity of our communities. Thank you for sharing not only your talents but the arts and heritage of the Chinese culture.
What an amazing organization this is! We held a corporate event in our office to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month - and CCAI came in and performed a beautiful Mongolian Dance Solo! The audience / our associates were mesmerized by how intricate and graceful the moves were from the artist, Emily, who captivated the group with her performance. Thank you to Bill, Emily, her parents, and the CCAI organization for coming to our office and sharing with us a little bit of Chinese Culture that day.
They do everything serious and professional! I did many performances for them, I enjoyed work with them.
I have been with CCAI for the past 12 years and it has opened so many doors for me. CCAI was basically my second home. I took classes almost everyday and i loved the staff there. All my instructors were experts in their field and always encouraged me to keep going.
I love chinese culture and from the start, i knew CCAI would teach me more than just chinese culture. I took chinese dance, language, and painting classes with CCAI and even though i am in college now, i still go back to them during my breaks to continue to do what i love to do. Being a National Endowment of the Arts recipient for chinese painting, i can say that CCAI and their teachers has taught me so much about chinese painting. I went from not knowing how to even hold a brush to painting extravagant landscapes. I always loved art, but never have i thought i would be an NEA recipient. Through CCAI's ongoing encouragement and the help of the staff, i am now even more excited to continue my work and give back to the community everything this great organization has taught me.
The Chinese Cultural & Arts Institute is a unique cultural arts organization not only locally, regionally, but nationally. The level of achievement by the students is phenomenal. There have been multiple National Endowment for the Arts sponsored Master/Apprentices for CCAI over the past 10 years. The current 2 have NEA Apprenticeships in Traditional Chinese Dance and Traditional Chinese Painting. The results of these Apprenticeships were just showcased for the month of September in the Rotunda of the Pennsylvania State Capitol.
CCAI demands a lot from the students in order to achieve these results. The students rise to the challenges that are presented, and thrive. Much like the founders Juilliard training, these students are pushed to achieve as close to perfection as possible. It shows.
CCAI is now entering its next phase of building a traditional Chinese cultural center as our new home in the PA State Capitol. This will be a cultural center that is unique to the country, have the ability to host art exhibits, major shows in the theater, host artists in residence, and a major cultural arts draw to the Mid-Atlantic.
Please visit CCAI's website at http://chineseculturalartsinstitute.org for continuing updates on CCAI.
I am using the CCAI to learn to speak and read Mandarin. This place is great and I appreciate it! My life has been enriched. I would never have been able to progress so well with some type of self help program.
I have done some volunteer work for this organization in the past and I can confidently say that the CCAI organization is a very professional institute that is home some of the most talented individuals around the area. They organize professional productions and I have volunteered at some of those events. Overall, the CCAI excels as one of the best Chinese Institutions and leaves it's competitors in the dust.
CCAI has been and continues to be a great curltural arts school for our daughter, who enjoys the dance classes there every week. CCAI has also been a great emotional support for her, due to our daughter being adopted from China, from a cultural learning experience and from the great friendships she has made with the other students. Miss Chen Yu is a phenomenal dance instructor, runs a very tight ship, and keeps them engaged. And it shows. Not only are these kids some of the most well behaved and most respectful kids (at least there, anyway), but they are also great dancers, performers, and artists. "Uncle" Bill is also very supportive of these kids and teaches them how to be mature, young adults...and he gives out candy after every class! All of their other instructors are extremely qualified and great too. Overall, I highly recommend this school to any parent out there that wants to have their child try something culturally diverse, challenging, and fun.
I have been dancing at CCAI for the past 12 years, and the organization has become an integral part of my life. CCAI offers so many different opportunities and classes to take, and it's amazing how much I've learned simply from being a part of CCAI for the past few years. The entire atmosphere is both welcoming and comforting, and CCAI is truly an amazing place for everyone in the community to learn more about all aspects of the Chinese culture.
I have had the honor to meet some of the people from CCA and was impressed by how the organization operates. It has my recommendation
For many years, CCAI has not only provided Arts & Culture education, but also helped to enrich the community. Because of their professional & serious attitude and dedication that helps us to understand more about Chinese culture. They also work very hard day- to-day, from daily teaching, community events, professional theater performances to fundraising... All of this work is for future development. If you would like to know more about traditional /modern Chinese arts & culture, CCAI will be the best place to go.

I am very happy to be able help with CCAI and what it has done for the students and community. CCAI has been putting on a annual recital, special shows at local theaters, seminars and working with many local non-profits, schools and festivals. This is a real treasure for this area. Please support CCAI to see them grow.
I've been at CCAI for the past 10 years, and it's a wonderful environment to be a part of and a great way to pick up additional art skills. The teachers and students are all very welcoming and encouraging to newcomers.
On behalf of the Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Network (PAIRN), I would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciated to the CCAI for all of their help and support of the PAIRWN.
Chen Yu, Bill Hubler, the CCAI students, and their parents have continued to show their talents and perform all difference dances to the community via the Annual Diversity Luncheon at the PA State Museum hosted by the Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women’s (PAIRWN).
This collaboration and partnership has showed the community how well our team works to better serve our area. Again, thanks Chen Yu and Bill Hubler. PAIRWN fully supports the CCAI effort to preserve the awareness of the different cultures in the community and help to educate our young to be proud of their heritage.

CCAI is an amazing place to dance at. I have been dancing at CCAI for the last ten years. There are many opportunities for growth in arts, dance, and the Chinese language classes. Also, the teachers are very caring and look out for your future success.
CAI bring Their talented Musicians into the world, it is really impressed me whenever I watched their show. They also teach Chinese kids to keep their culture and art. I hope CCAI will success more in the future.
Very talented musicians brought their passion into the world to make normal people like me get to appreciate the beauty of music
CCAI is an excellent Institute to bring the Chinese culture into the Western World. Students are from all over the world, and they come here to learn about Chinese language, Chinese dance, Chinese music, and Chinese Instruments. Thank you for the diversity and make Harrisburg a more colorful place~
CCAI is an amazing school. I have learned so many valuable life skills at this school. They have been a huge part of my life. I don't know what I would do without them.
It is nice to see the community outreach that this organization does. To have this type of cultural gem in the Mid-Atlantic and the state Capitol is a gift that I hope everyone recognizes. I look forward to seeing CCAI grow bigger and better.
They have expanded to do performances and other shows to highlight the Chinese culture and increase public awareness of the history of this culture. It is more than just a learning studio for student. I would encourage all people to look at what they have to offer.
This institution is very professional. After viewing the student's performance, I am quite pleased at the superb program that Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute provides. I highly recommend this studio for dance!
CCAI frequently provides exotic performances with the best quality. The educational programs it provides are well designed and full of fun!
CCAI is one of the kind!
High quality of music making and bridging eastern and the western culture is what 21st century calls for!
Thankful to the founder that he has this amazing vision!!!
CCAI is a great organization with high quality faculties who are responsible and professional. They also give amazing performances throughout the year and doing a lot of community outreach to benefit the people in the community.
I danced at CCAI for 9 years before i graduated and went to college and it was a life changing experience where i made some really good friends, had amazing experiences, and learned more about my cultural heritage. CCAI changed me for the better and helped me learn about my culture and gave me a greater appreciation for dancing.
I've been dancing at CCAI since I was 5 years old. Classes are a lot of fun and I always look forward to going back every week. I have learned so much from all the amazing experiences and opportunities. CCAI has become like family to me, and it's something I will never forget.
I have been dancing at CCAI for almost 9 years and those years have been wonderful. I love the great opportunities that CCAI has provided for me. I love the amazing people that I have met. Thank you.
CCAI is a wonderful and welcoming school for both children and adults to enrich their lives in Chinese Arts. My daughter has taken both dance and language and the school and the faculty and students are like a second family to us. I cannot say enough good things about this school. My daughter is so happy to see her friends each week and the dance instructor, Ms. Chen-Yu is really top notch. So glad we found this school!
My daughter whom was adopted from China has attended many different classes for over 10 years. She has progressed from beginner to advanced due to the leadership and talent of the instructors and the head of the organization. I would recommend this group to any person wishing to learn the asian culture.
As adoptive parents of 2 Chinese American girls, we are very grateful for the opportunity to participate with CCAI. We are very fortunate to have such a quality organization within our reach to help educate our girls about their heritage. Our 12 1/2 year old daughter has been involved with CCAI, mainly through dance instruction, for nearly 10 years. Our 7-year old is in her 4th year of dance. CCAI's educational offerings are unique; and the quality of artistic instruction, both performing and visual, is superb.

As an adoptive parent of two Chinese-American girls, I can safely assert that the value and enrichment brought by CCAI to my daughters and their development is immeasurable. Beginning at the age of 3, my older daughter has studied dance under ChenYu Tseui for 8 years. My younger 6 year old is in her third year of dance and also studies Mandarin. ChenYu’s supreme artistry shines through her students in the form of self-confidence, beauty, and grace. I am thankful every day that our daughters are exposed not only to such quality education, but that as Chinese adoptees, they have a peer group with which to learn about their rich heritage. Our family is most fortunate to have CCAI as part of our lives.
I saw serveral their shows and performance at community events. I realized these CCAI students not only danced well and well behaved while they were just waiting at the back stage. This institution always supports local communities and offers lots of culture classes to the public to let every one who like to know and learn more about Chinese culture. This institiution not only offers traditional Chinese culture dances and Tai-Chi class but also ballet, jazz, lyrical classes, etc. to meet different needs and enrich our life. We are lucky to have this center here.
I can't say enough about CCAI and its staff over the past several years. They have given my daughter so much confidence in who she is as a Chinese American. She loves her time at CCAI and would spend every day there if she could! So glad to have this resource nearby!
CCAI provides opportunities for children and adults to learn the Chinese culture through dance and other traditional programs. Ms. Chen-Yu's beautiful choreography opens the window for the students and audience to better understand the beautiful culture and art of China. In addition, the dance and other programs help the children develop the self-respect that is so crucial for future success. Thank you CCAI.

Ms. Chen-Yu has made a significant difference in the lives of many children, young adults and adults. Her outstanding arts leadership allows her students to learn Chinese history, language and culture in a creative and enjoyable way. My children have been adopted from China. Ms. Chen-Yu is giving them a sense of their native country and, as their personal identities develop, is helping them understand their ethnic heritage through the arts. Ms. Chen-Yu clearly recognizes the impact that the arts have had on her life and she has been aggressive in “giving back” to the community. The art is really in her heart.
CCAI offers the opportunity to study Chinese culture and language whether you are from China, adopted from China or a person that is interested in Chinese culture and language. The depth and breadth of the programs far outpace those even in larger cities. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to not only to study Chinese language, but also to be a part of the CCAI family!
It is a pleasure to see what CCAI does for the children, both adoptive and immigrant's children. A positive identification with their historic culture and a positive role model in Chen-Yu has caused a lot of these children to grow up as beautiful young women who are successful in what they strive to do.
I am the mother of three children, and my two oldest are already in college. All three of them took/take lessons such as Chinese dance, painting, and music at CCAI since a very young age. I can say that they grew up here and learned much from CCAI. The teachers are excellent and very professional.
Several years ago, many students traveled with their dance teacher, Ms. Tsuei, to Los Angeles to participate in the National Chinese Folk Dance Competition, and they won 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in different categories. From this experience, the students and parents learned that they can reach a high level under Ms. Tsuei's teaching. We are very fortunate to have CCAI right here in Harrisburg.
As immigrants from Taiwan, we never expected to find anything like CCAI in Harrisburg. My daughter takes traditional Chinese dance with Chen-Yu and we volunteer with CCAI. We have participated in many events, and taking the dance has given my daughter a chance to perform in front of audiences, and to grow and mature. My sons also have volunteered and have received SAT tutoring at CCAI. We are happy to be able to have found this friendship.

Our daughter and son have been warmly welcomed into the CCAI family. It is amazing to see our children learn about the traditions and culture of their birth country. Our daughter is thriving in the dance program with Chen Yu and Sara and loves being with her new friends.
The Chinese Cultural and Arts Institute provides invaluable education for adults and children who wish to become familiar with the with beauty and culture and beauty of Chinese art. It is an entirely unique program and deserves public support. The training which Ms. Chen-Yu provides to my daughter has helped her to respect and appreciate her identity as a Chinese-American.
As the mother of a beautiful daughter, adopted from China, I can not begin to thank CCAI for all they have done, exposing her to the beauty of the Chinese culture. From language, art, music and dance, CCAI has provided a warm and welcoming community of Chinese culture and tradition. Thanks Chen Yu and Bill ... You and everyone who teaches, helps and nurtures at CCAI are wonderful!
