Mission: Over the past 3 years KCYMF has grown into a respected non-profit community organization whose goal is to improve the educational success of youth. The organization was founded as a reaction to increases in the junior high and high school drop out rates, violent juvenile crimes, teenage pregnancies and the decreasing percentage of Kern County youth attending post high school colleges and universities. The foundation strives to create meaningful experiences for youth through the use of mariachi music and creates incentives for youth to continue their education through positive educational experiences.
