Mission: We energize the mind and the body of teens to succeed in life. The teens in San Antonio face many difficult obstacles. First, San Antonio is considered one of the "fattest" cities in the nation; we have one of the highest rates of fatalities in teen drinking and driving; gangs are prevalent; pregnancy, in 3 San Antonio zipcodes are higher than the national average; drugs are readily available; school drop-outs are common and a high percentage of minorities earning low wages are what the teens have to look forward to. Through Karma (def. a force created by one's actions) teens learn to set goals and accept that there are consequences for their actions. We give teens M&M's (motivation and momentum) by targeting major setbacks and helping them stay focussed on their goals. We believe that if a teen has a realistic reachable goal, they will try harder not to deviate from them. We teach the teens to give back through community service, civic and patriotic duties.
