K9SWAT is an amazing organization that is very near and dear to my heart! I work directly with retired and active duty military patients at a treatment facility in the area. For years now, Catherine, her wonderful team, and the pups in training have volunteered their time to provide a positive outlet for our patients. Not only do our service members enjoy the company of the dogs in training, but K9SWAT provides opportunities for our patients to get involved in the community after discharge. I will always support this organization’s mission and have made lifelong friends as a bonus :)
What a fabulous service to the community this organization brings. K9 Service with a Twist provides trained emotional support and service dogs to our Veterans free of charge. They work with the Paws in Prison program that rescues and trains these dogs for the public as well as companion and service dogs for Veterans. This program is also beneficial in giving the incarcerated women meaning and purpose to their life. They are given responsibility and taught skills that benefit both themselves, the shelter dogs, Veterans, and the entire community.
I have seen countless Veterans paired with service dogs...in many cases, dogs who would never otherwise be given a chance. Run by volunteers with almost no overhead, they do such amazing work. Thank you, K9 SWAT!
I have the honor to work with this great nonprofit! The mission of providing service dogs free of charge to a deserving veteran is amazing! Small but mighty truly sums up this nonprofit! We are trying to make a difference and trying to give back to those that gave all! In my eyes, we are giving these deserving veterans their lives back by adding the unconditional love and. service that only a dog can give!
K9 with a Twist is an awesome organization. They help so many people with professionaly trained service dogs. They make a huge difference to the veterans that need a good service dog. The shelter dogs that are used, the prison inmates that help train the dogs, and the veterans that recieve the dogs, all have a positive life change. This is an organization that helps so many and gets their mission accomplished!
