Causes: Addictive Disorders, Mental Health, Residential Mental Health Treatment
Mission: To meet the needs of homeless veterans suffering from addiction within our community and provide them the support they need to maintain a life long commitment to recovery and to thrive in the community.
Programs: Inpatient treatment & housing - joseph house provides the only comprehensive 12-month treatment program in the nation devoted to veterans. Over the past year, joseph house has focused on the rate of recidivism among veterans. A 38% reduction in recidivism and relapse was achieved over the last year. Joseph house served 93 veterans during the 16-17 fiscal year.
outpatient and reintegration program - this is a 6-8 month program directed at the residents who have completed the in-patient program and need to begin the process of independent living. The clinical counselors use the matrix model of outpatient treatment. Over the past year, 72 residents have moved out of the joseph house to a successful, permanent living environment. 93 residents have improved their income through employment or increased benefits.
