We also offered several members events (875 attended) and family-oriented festivals (6001 attended) which provided natured-based educational and craft activities. Our volunteer program greatly supports the arboretum's efforts with 237 active volunteers giving 9,347 hours. In 2017 we saw our visitation grow to over 74,000 annual visitors. The arboretum continues to use the horticultural collections, historic structures, and our 650 acres of natural landscapes to connect our visitors to nature, our history, and to inform and educate the public on how to become stewards of the environment.
