CareLink is a great organization with a noble mission. Like many nonprofits, they struggle with inadequate funding. CareLink operates many great programs, though some facilities were neglected for many years. In recent years, they made remarkable strides in putting funding into it's most valuable resource, the human capital. And, the agency has been investing significantly in its facilities and infrastructure. There is more work to do, but the agency has changed it's culture, most employees feel valued, wages are competitive, and the benefits are great, especially medical, tuition reimbursement and paid time off. I love working at CareLink and would recommend this agency to anyone with a desire and passion for working with the most vulnerable among us.

I am a Force of Nature volunteer with Natural Lands and frequent hiker on many of the preserves. It is the largest and oldest member supported non-profit land trust in the Philadelphia area with 5 million people living within 5 miles of one of its 42 preserves and one natural garden. The organization has saved over 125,000 acres of open space, through outright purchase, conservation easements and helping communities preserve land. I have been a life-long lover of nature and the outdoors. Whether it's planting trees, cutting invasive plants, or just picking up trash, volunteering for this wonderful organization allows me to care for nature that has given me so much joy and pleasure in my lifetime. I have visited all 20 of the featured preserves on their "Find Yourself Outdoors" challenge on the website. I can't name a favorite, as each one is unique and beautiful.

So my brother died of an “overdose”, he shot up fentanyl, and died October 18 2019 in Patterson Nj. And he struggled with addiction his whole life. Since he was put on pain killers after having major surgery to repair the damage to his hip from Perthes Disease. Which is where your ball and socket joint disintegrate (at a young age). Michael was hooked on painkillers after major hip surgery at 11 years old. Years later that addiction took his life. He should of never died and I hate everyone. My brother Michael McCulley was the little brother to Cody McCulley who was one of Joey Ducks best friends.

I've worked with the Fellowship House for the past several years facilitating intergroup dialogues about race, etc. I've always found the organization's leaders and members to be honest, open and committed to self-exploration and to exploring ways to reduce institutional racism in their community as well as implicit biases within themselves.<br><br>The Fellowship House has an extremely long history of trying to deal with these critical and often undiscussed issues. They are a true asset to the Media and the surrounding community.

The lawyer from this agency went with me to get a restraining order for my young child at the court. Instead of defending us in front of the judge, she requested a private conversation with the judge without my consent and without disclosing what she discussed with the judge. When it was our turn to present the case to the judge, she was mute. She did not say a word. We lost the case. When I went with other lawyers on different occasions, I was always the one who didn’t need to say a word. All other lawyers fought for me. That is what lawyers do. I feel betrayed by WAR’s lawyer. We need lawyers because legal issues have big impacts on our life. To this day my child and I are still living the aftermath of her behavior. If she was ethical, she should have simply stepped down from representing us so we could get another lawyer. But talking secretly to the judge because she was afraid of harsh words from the judge in front of the crowds is a big no-no. Very unethical and unprofessional. Please be careful. There are other places to get reliable lawyers. I know this agency works with the police and court. It is so unfortunate for victims in Delaware County that there is no other place to go. There is too much untruthfulness in this agency. They push you hard to report a case to the police. Once you report the case, they step back. They help eagerly when you file an application for crime victim compensation. But they hate it when they have to accompany you to the court hearings. Something is wrong with this agency.

I was unexpectedly diagnosed with a hole in my heart as an adult, and I had no idea where to start to find information. I stumbled upon the Adult Congenital Heart Association, and they were helpful from the very first time I reached out. The organization (and Paula in particular) helped to connect me to the right doctors in my area, and the forum allowed me to voice my concerns and fears of being a first-time heart patient and get helpful feedback from long-time heart warriors. I am indebted to the wealth of information that the ACHA was able to provide me at a time when I truly needed it.

I have been involved with the Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra both on stage and off for over 20 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. They put on excellent musicals. New members always comment on how welcoming we are. I've gotten to participate in set building, design, and painting, costuming, stage crew and of course singing and dancing. I would recommend this group to anyone looking to get involved in community theater. I've met so many wonderful people and made life long friends there.

Our family is blessed to have had Community Backstop and Andrew Panzo come into our lives!! My wife and I are the proud parents of 5 beuatiful children. Our youngest son (2years old) was born prematurely and with severe medical issues. He had lost most of his blood prior to delivery by emergency C-section which resulted in irreversible kidney damage. We were very concerned as were his doctors that he did not have a good prognosis. After many months in the NICU he came home on dialysis. My wife and I did the dialysis at home (12 hours a day) while we waited for him to get big enough to be a candidate for a kidney transplant. He did get a kidney transplant through the generosity of his aunt. Along the way bills piled up and things became very difficult for us financially. My wife could no longer work due to our son's needs and I am self employed and had not received a paycheck in over a year and a half due to the economy. Our savings was gone. Andrew heard of our situation and presented it to his colleagues at Community Backstop. CB came to the rescue and mailed us a check that was a great light in a dark time in our lives. The monetary gift was a huge help but most of all was the compassion and feeling that people cared about our struggle and wanted to help. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for Andrew and his team. They are truly doing God's work! Our son is doing great after many surgeries and unbelievable hurdles that he has faced. We could not have provided the care he needed as well as we were able to if not for the generosity of organizations like Community Backstop. I also referred a situation to Andrew of a friend with three young children and a wife who was dying of cancer at 43 yo and without hesitation Community Backstop came to the rescue again. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

My name is Leatrice gant and I have been with Values int action since the very begining. I would like to say at this time I am honored to apart of such a caring organization and to see the progress that has been made . Especially with the people who I support. It is a joy to see the accomplishments that has been made with these individuals. To see Mr. Stephen Stencler sit in a restaurant and order and pay for his own food without any outburst or disruptions. I would like to add to the progress that Mr.Steven Stencler has made with choosing to eat healthy and exercise which has allowed him to lose weight and has been a goal that he has achieved with help of all of his staff. It brings joy to him and also his staff and family. Also Mrs.Pamela price with assistance painting and selling her bottles is something she created, and also using her computer with staff assistance. It really shows that these individuals has a promising future here at Values into action and the sky is the limit.

The trained professionals at Family Support Line are there to help individuals and families in crisis because of the trauma caused by sexual abuse. If you're ready to participate in a support group, they offer groups for ALL ages. If your not ready for group yet, they'll hook you up with individual therapy. They understand how traumatic disclosing abuse is, and that people need help dealing with and healing from the fall-out. They also offer prevention education to any organization working with children, and specialized training for professionals interested in treating survivors.

I have always had a great time there. I love expressing my feelings in what I write there. It gives me time to think about what excting things happen in my life and I want to share with others. So much happens that I dont want to forget so I write it down.

This Ballet Company is Delaware Valley's best well-kept secret. Since it was formed, I've attended their ballet productions and they are "must see" performances for the following reasons: (1) The IBC Ballet Company was founded by two graduates of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy who then performed, as soloists, with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, and with other major ballet companies abroad and in the United States. They are Anasthesia Babayeva and Denis Gronostayskiy, and it's an honor to have them in our Delaware Valley area! Among the full-length ballets they performed are: "Nutcracker", "Coppelia", "Walpurgis Night" and "Giselle". It's my opinion that Anastasia was born to play "Giselle", and Ive seen that ballet at least 15 times!... (2) Attending a performance is so-o-o convenient in that free parking is only steps to the modern Theater entrance, which is all one level with the theater, whose sloped seating gives wonderfully close-up "orchestra" viewing (leave the binoculars at home!), and ticket prices are exceptionally low for seeing such high-caliber dancers...and, (3) They are devoted to teaching the highest disciplined "Vagonova" method of ballet to students of their school--"The Academy of International Ballet"--the very same method taught at the Bolshoi. I urge you to check out their Website...or give them a call...and familiarize yourself with this great Ballet Company and very special school.

My husband and I are true animal lovers and have adopted 3 dogs and 7 cats over the past 15 years. Last year, I visited ARF as a volunteer. I was extremely impressed with their operation, especially the care given to the animals and the diligence maintained to screen potential new families and match them with a compatible new friend. While there, I fell immediately in love with a senior gray tabby named Big Poppy. He seemed to know right away that he was coming home with me, of course providing I passed the screening and could provide a window with a view (essential) and a big fluffy blanket (preferred). Well, we got the OK from ARF that day given my neighbor also volunteers and could attest to the care we give our other animals. I came home with Big Poppy that night, and was delighted to find out that he was current with all his shots and certified as a healthy, senior cat! Big Poppy is now a happy, permanent member of our household and is a sweet companion and friend. ARF is a great organization! Regards, Margaret Gernert

I adopted my dog from ARF in 2008 and my family and I are very happy with our dog and the professionalism of this group. I found ARF through www.petfinder.com, and after I emailed ARF they got back to me right away. I've send in applications through Petfinder for other dogs before and not heard back for weeks, so I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service from ARF. I was able to apply online and the foster home contacted me to set a meeting with the dog and we adopted the following weekend. Our guy came to us with all his shots, he was already neutered and even chipped. I would definitely recommend ARF to anyone looking for a dog, they were very easy to work with, the were very friendly and nice and made the entire experience wonderful for me and my family.
