Causes: Homeless & Housing, Temporary Housing
Mission: To meet women veterans at their points of need through advocacy, empowerment, interaction, outreach, and unification with an effort to break down the barriers that lead to homelessness.
Programs: The national women veterans leadership and diversity is designed to awaken the leader in the women who have served and sacrificed for our country. This is the only conference in the country designed by women veterans for women veterans to connect, engage and empower all women veterans and women in the military from around the nation, regardless to rank or branch of service. Over 150 women veterans from across the country were inspired, empowered and educated trough outstanding keynotes, professional leadership panels, interactive workshops and peer-to-peer engagements. The conference addressed several critical issues affecting the woman veteran population across the country. The topics included homelessness, education, employment, entrepreneurship, health care, and free onsite disability claims and benefits clinic. Attendees gained the tools, resources, and tips to use for continued success post-conference, attendees walked away with a renewed feelings of self-worth and pride.
