Jewish Foundation for Group Homes is an exemplary nonprofit organization. My evaluatin criteria is based on more than four decades of teaching in higher education on issue areas related to nonprofit management. I also serve as a proud member of the executive boars. The organization and leadership have rightfully earned every prestigious award available. JFGH is a model for national and other international service agencies. The basis of this model includes the establishment of realistic goals,well-trained and highly effective staff, and the dedication of skilled volunteers.Our principles include that the care and treatment of each resident is with dignity and respect. The moment you enter the door whether it be the agency, group home or off campus board meeting the conversations and activities alway relate to the vision, planning and actions required to create an even better quality of life for every resident. These are but a few of the reasons that I nominate JFGH for the 2009 Jewish Choice Award
