Causes: In-Home Assistance
Mission: Jevs behavioral health and intellectual disabilities continually strives to provide the best people, practices, and systems in order to give the best service. Our mission is to help our participants enjoy living as independently as possible in the comfort of their homes, surrounded by the people they love, and with a caregiver who makes them feel comfortable and safe. The organization works to provide supports that enhance the dignity and independence of vulnerable people throughout the philadelphia region. Through its jevs at home homecare program for older individuals and people with disabilities, we provide high-quality and dependable services to enable individuals to remain in their homes.
Programs: Jevs behavioral health and intellectual disabilities provides non-medical home care, respite, companionship and community integration support services to disabled and aging individuals, ages 18+, residing in philadelphia, delaware, montgomery, chester, bucks and allegheny counties in pennsylvania. Our participants wish to remain in their homes and/or communities rather than enter an institution, such as a nursing home or intermediate care facility. They are able to achieve this with the support of our services. Continued on schedule ojevs has supported the dignity and independent living of over 1,000 individuals in the last year. Examples of our services include:-assistance with hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing-meal preparation -light housekeeping, including dusting and vacuuming -shopping and errand assistance -making the bed, changing linens, and doing laundry-companionship while taking walks, reading, and letter writing or other communication assistance -socialization support-encouragement and assistance with light exercise-assistance with scheduling medical appointments-emergency hotline, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week
