Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Health, Hospitals

Mission: The jersey city family health center ("jcfhc") has ceased operations. Jcfhc had provided primary care, mental health, dental, and other preventative healthcare services to the medically underserved communities of hudson county, new jersey. The united states department of health and human services, health resources and services administration had designated jcfhc as a federally qualified health center. The jcfhc provided services to all age groups and operated a multi-site system to make it easier for the community to access its services. Patients were seen regardless of their ability to pay for the services rendered. A sliding fee scale system was applied to those patients who could afford to pay for some or all of their care. This organization ceased operations as of august 31, 2008. Effective september 1, 2008 all operations were assumed by an unrelated healthcare provider.
