Mission: Iron gate's mission is simple. We feed the hungry of tulsa--every day. We feed people in three ways, through our soup kitchen, grocery pantry and kids pantry. We call those who eat at iron gate our "guests" because we invite them to eat with us. Our philosophy is we are all guests on this earth and guests treat one another with courtesy, kindness and respect.
Programs: Soup kitchenthe daily soup kitchen serves a nutritious, home-cooked meal every day of the year from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
grocery pantryour grocery pantry is open on wednesday and friday from 12:00 p. M. - 1 p. M. And saturdays from 11 a. M. - 12:00 p. M. The grocery pantry provides a self-serve grocery bag of basics and fresh produce with no required documentation. Guests can get grocery assistance from our pantry once a month. We distribute approximately 300 grocery bags of groceries a week, many to families with children.
kids pantrythe kids pantry distributes a ziploc bag of kid-friendly, healthy snacks to every youth served by iron gate, either through the grocery pantry or soup kitchen. In 2016, we gave out 17,456 kids packs.
