Mission: International Ballet Classique (IBC) is a 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization. IBC, our ballet company, has the greatest opportunity to preserve the classical method of ballet, advance creativity in the art of dance and bring the art of ballet to a wide and diverse population. It is our mission to insure that true classical ballet survives for hundreds of years into the future.
Under Denis Gronostayskiy, Artistic Director, and Anastasia Babayeva, Ballet Mistress, who hail from the esteemed Bolshoi Ballet, the professional dancers who work and perform with International Ballet Classique are dedicated to the development of a generation of qualified ballet artists.
Planned performances: local, regional, and on tour; and lecture demonstrations at elementary schools, colleges and universities, provide vast audiences with the experience of true classical ballet at its finest. These performance experiences increase the opportunity of young dancers to study, learn, and reproduce the fine art of Russian Classical Ballet, to preserve classical ballet and go on to educate a new generation of Americans to the beauty of the art!
International Ballet Classique has produced ballets such as :
“Coppelia”
“Giselle”
Nutcracker”
“Walpurgis Night”
and many other classical ballets as well as contemporary works
As a member of the Arts Guild at Neumann College, IBC presents the “Nutcracker” ballet at Neumann College’s Fred P. Meagher Theatre each December, performs a classical work in the spring and hosts ballet festivals. Tickets for IBC performances can be purchased by clicking onto our performance and ticket announcements. This Ballet Company is Delaware Valley's best well-kept secret. Since it was formed, I've attended their ballet productions and they are "must see" performances for the following reasons:
(1) The IBC Ballet Company was founded by two graduates of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy who then performed, as soloists, with the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, and with other major ballet companies abroad and in the United States. They are Anasthesia Babayeva and Denis Gronostayskiy, and it's an honor to have them in our Delaware Valley area! Among the full-length ballets they performed are: "Nutcracker", "Coppelia", "Walpurgis Night" and "Giselle". It's my opinion that Anastasia was born to play "Giselle", and Ive seen that ballet at least 15 times!...
(2) Attending a performance is so-o-o convenient in that free parking is only steps to the modern Theater entrance, which is all one level with the theater, whose sloped seating gives wonderfully close-up "orchestra" viewing (leave the binoculars at home!), and ticket prices are exceptionally low for seeing such high-caliber dancers...and,
(3) They are devoted to teaching the highest disciplined "Vagonova" method of ballet to students of their school--"The Academy of International Ballet"--the very same method taught at the Bolshoi.
I urge you to check out their Website...or give them a call...and familiarize yourself with this great Ballet Company and very special school.
