Scientists are involved in studies of genes that cause or inhibit cancer growth, virology, immunology, chemical carcinogens, cell growth and interaction and gene expression. In recent years, research has increasingly emphasized molecular oncology and genetics, areas which bridge advancing knowledge from the laboratory with new clinical approaches.
