Mission: The primary mission of InStepp, Inc is to create a vibrant Triangle area community by empowering at-risk women and adolescent girls to rise above the odds and succeed personally and professionally. InStepp uses gender-responsive treatment approaches to address this target population's specific needs and issues. These include training, education and prevention programs and therapeutic life-skills workshops that teach good parenting and other life skills, along with basic employment services, including job readiness training and job placement assistance. InStepp also advocates for public policy changes that will improve the quality of life of at-risk women within the Triangle area community. This is accomplished through participation in coalitions, and grassroots organizing and messaging campaigns aimed at educating and engaging the public around issues that impact the quality of life of InStepp's target audience.
