Causes: Arts & Culture, Film & Video
Mission: Indie memphis is the city's leading film arts organization, focused on exhibition, education, economic development, and community enhancement. This mission is accomplished through year-round programming, grants to filmmakers, and our signature indie memphis film festival held annually in november. We connect artists and audiences with the larger world of independent film through events such as microcinema, outdoor music film series, shoot & splice workshops, and networking events.
Programs: During calendar year 2017, indie memphis screened over 150 films and partnered with other regional nonprofits to promote film as a cultural amenity and to drive economic development. The 20th annual indie memphis film festival was held november 1st through 6th, 2017.
