Mission: The corporation is a supervised apartment program for adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities who need minimal supports. The goal of the program is to provide supportive services to assist and optimize the independence and productivity of the adults in an affordable living arrangement.
Programs: The corporation is a nonprofit corporation organized june 21, 1983 under the laws of the state of texas, for the purpose of developing and operating an apartment complex of nine units in san antonio, texas. The corporation operates under the provisions of section 202 of the national affordable housing act and be regulated by the u. S. Department of housing and urban development (hud) with respect to rental charges and operating methods. The regulatory agreement does not permit any distributions to the corporation since it is a non-profit entity. The project is subject to section 8 housing assistance payment agreements with hud, and a significant portion of the project's rental income is received from hud. The corporation provides affordable housing for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Approximately 18 individuals were provided services during the fiscal year endend june 30, 2017. Total housing assistance from hud was $127,369 during the fiscal year ended june 30,2017.
