Programs: Impactmatters aims to dramatically improve philanthropic accountability. Toward that goal, two products connect funders that seek high impact with nonprofits that actually achieve high impact: first, guided impact reporting (g. I. R. ), a free app that walks nonprofits through a tightly scripted series of questions, extracting from their self-reported data estimates of the cost-effectiveness of their interventions. Second, impact audits, which certify whether claims made by nonprofits about their cost-effectiveness are supported by an independent assessment of the evidence. The goal is for nonprofits across the philanthropic landscape to calculate and report their impact.
