Mission: Dedicated to increasing our understanding of eczema and promoting its optimal management through research, education and patient/family care.
Programs: Educational symposia were held at the aad (american academy of dermatology) in orlando, florida; sid (society for investigative dermatology) in portland, oregon; eadv (european academy for dermatology and venereology) in geneva, switzerland; esdr (european society for dermatological research)in salzburg, austria and the jsid (japan society for investigative dermatology) in kochi, japan to present current research and recent advances in the diagnosis management and treatment of atopic dermatitis. These symposia typically each draw 250 attendees many of whom are thought leaders in dermatology who teach other regarding atopic dermatitis. The iec councilors and associates convened throughout the year to discuss current literature, research and practice related to various topics in atopic dermatitis, and to develop and publish manuscripts in relevant medical journals regarding their findings.
