Causes: Animals, Arts & Culture, Printing & Publishing, Protection of Endangered Species, Wildlife Preservation & Protection
Mission: Education, scientific research, and habitat protection to benefit endangered hummingbird species; encourage wildlife art as a means of increasing awareness of hummingbird conservation; support the local community in which we are located.
Programs: Maintain an informative website to educate the public about hummingbirds; answer queries by mail, telephone, and e-mail; publication of newsletter/magazine to teach about hummingbirds and communicate our activities; direct funding of conservation efforts for critically endangered hummingbird species: the juan fernandez firecrown (chile), and the honduran emerald (honduras), all as funds permit, but not to all species in any given year; maintain strategic alliances with other conservation organizations in central and south american countries where endangered hummingbird species are found; maintain cooperative relationships with nonprofit organizations for our mutual benefit.
