Programs: Hospice of washtenaw ii's mission is to provide comfort, support, and compassionate care to people with life-limiting illnesses and to their families in a manner that respects the dignity of each individual and to foster community acceptance that dying is an integral part of living. All patients who meet admission criteria are eligible for hospice care, no matter what their financial circumstances or ability to pay. Hospice also provides community education and support through its extensive bereavement program that is open to both the families of hospice patients and the community at large. Hospice also provides consultation for pain and symptom management without charge to the requesting individual or organization. Hospice is supported by a large volunteer force that participates in direct patient care and support and is actively involved in bringing bereavement care to the community. Hospice of washtenaw ii ceased operations in july 2014 as explained in part iii line 3.
