The planned legislative proposals and legislative efforts include the following: increased funding for nebraska's school district pre-k programs, the establishment of an early childhood data governance body; expansion of the eligibility level for families to receive the child care subsidy; the pilot of a kindergarten assessment tool and evaluation; and addressing any related legislation that furthers the exempt purpose to support budget and policy decisions to reduce childhood poverty and improve prosperity for nebraska families.
