Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To give people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to achieve their potential, build their self esteem and enhance their community involvement. To accomplish this, we commit our energy and resources to advocate for and support a continuum of creative liiving options.
Programs: We serve 23 adults with developmental disabilities. Champion house and halcyon group homes provide supported living care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for residents with severe developmental disabilities. Structure is provided in the form of regular routines and schedules for such things as meals, outings, etc. Residents of these programs attend school, hold jobs and or regularly participate in community activities. Resident and staff training is also provided, to include ensuring possession of current first aid and nursing certifications, etc. Visions and trail house homes provide intensive tenant support for residents with complex development and/or physical disabilities. This 24/7 support provides ncessary structure and scheduling, allowing residents to hold jobs in the community, attend regularly scheduled activity programs, and be as independent as possible. Resident and staff training is also provided.
