Mission: The mission of Invest in Kids is to contribute to the academic and personal success of low-income, underserved youth in Contra Costa County, California, particularly in the Bay Point, Concord, San Pablo and Richmond communities. Through a supportive and accountable community of mentors, Invest in Kids helps its students achieve economic self-sufficiency. Invest in Kids also plays a significant part in helping students attain academic accomplishment and assists them in learning successful life skills. Our vision is to equalize the opportunity for all young people in our community so they may participate in higher education and experience the satisfaction of personal achievement. ?There is a stunning correlation between a life of crime and poverty and a lack of education. We are doing something about this one student at a time!
Programs: Invest in Kids is a comprehensive, long-term advocacy mentoring program. We are a small organization with 44 students that are our direct beneficiaries.
