Mission: Because of its natural setting, and existing mines, the Park lends itself well to presenting California History. The 62-acre project comprised of 4 original mining claims, showcases hard rock mining and streambed placer mining. In 1985 the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and as a State Point of Historic Interest. It is the philosophy of the Committee to educate visitors, as well as showcase the gold rush period.
