Mission: To provide a voice for Native American Indians of El Dorado County through the EDCIC in such matters dealing with the Local, State, and Federal Governments. To promote Native American culture and tradition by participating with other organizations, councils, and groups through the planning and/or sponsorship of local and inter-tribal cultural activities, social functions, gatherings, and fundraising.
Results: EDCIC has protected numerous scared land sites throughout the Country. Every year in August we hold our annual Summer Gathering Camp out in Sly Park. Were we educate our Natives Indians and non-Indians about Native American Indian Culture by providing free camping, cultural activities, traditional Native American Indian Dancers, storytelling, and drumming. We award at least one Scholarship each year.
Target demographics: Native American Indians, educate the community on Native cultural and awarrence.
