Halifax Rowing Association (HRA) has done such an excellent job at achieving their goal of bringing the sport of rowing to our area. HRA offers rowing programs for adults, teens and adaptive rowers. They offer learn to row events throughout the summer to promote rowing and to attract new rowers. I attended their National Learn to Row day in June and I felt so warmly welcomed. I was able to get onto the water in an eight, which was so exciting. I understand now how the sport can be so addicting...the boats are powerful and the work-out is great. The HRA team seemed well organized and their boat house was well stocked. Cudos!

Halifax Rowing club it's a great club with ks much opportunities to offer to Youth in Volusia county. But the sad part is that HRA leadership has been and still is poor and no one cares about the kids/youth and their future. Club has changed 4 coaches in 2 years and last coach recruited over 30 Rowers for 10 months, kids loved him and learned a lot from him. Also, lately coaching staff is very poor and with no experience, there is Cross fit person coaching kids Rowing. All this just shows how serious HRA leadership is about this club and Youth program especially. I would not recommend this club to any future parents and their kids!
