Upon learning that I have breast cancer, my days seemed to be filled with educating myself about the disease and treatments. And that is as it should be. However, it didn't take me long to realize that life goes on. The everyday responsibilities of buying groceries, paying bills and whatnot continued, made even more difficult by the added financial burdens of getting to radiation appointments, purchasing medications, and mounting medical bills. Receiving assistance in the form of a gift card from NATCAF lifted my spirits and eased my path during a difficult and confusing time. God bless them and their mission!
I was diagnosed with TNBC last year and my experience has been horrible. I got to a point where I had to search for assistance because I was left to fend for myself after 2 surgeries and 25 rounds of intense radiation. I thought the agencies I applied to for help forgot me in many cases too.
I lost my house and car in this time and have been homeless since March 1st. It's been a serious struggle not even being able to get to work or know where we're going to lay our heads day to day. My mail has been getting all shuffled around and I received this thoughtful gift last month but just got possession of it today. It was comforting to see the blanket and the gift card that is a life saver in our current circumstance. So thank you for not forgetting about me. That really put a smile on my face. Bless you all.
I will never be able to express our gratitude for the incredibly kind and generous gift that National Cancer Foundation. We were surprised and thrilled by their incredible support as we are going through such a challenging time. After being directly struck by a car that crashed through my store at work, I underwent 17 surgeries and learned to walk again. Less than two years later, on my daughter's 3rd birthday, I was diagnosed with Stage IIB breast cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. I underwent chemotherapy, a mastectomy, had all of my lymph nodes removed, and then a ductal surgery, followed by radiation, and am now back in chemotherapy and undergoing shots, as well. It has been a difficult journey to experience with 2 little ones at home and they only one working and carrying the medical insurance for our family. Receiving this support has made all of the difference in the world. The generous donors and wonderful team at NATCAF have raised my spirits and helped our family immeasurably. We cannot thank them enough for this amazing gift.
Thanks so much for the help I received , I really appreciate it .I was able to help my husband pay some utilities.
NCAF is a VITAL part of Saint Peter's Christmas season. Not only are they a wonderful organization to work with, but our needs are met to a "T" because of them! They take our hospital's wish-list into consideration and because of that, we are able to supply our most fragile patients with special gifts throughout the season. This is something that just could NOT be done on our own. Endless thanks for everything you do to make SO many wishes come true, our partnership is truly a blessing.
This organization has provided wish list items to the patients of the Monroe Carell Jr Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt for the past two years during the month of December. They are incredibly easy to work with and accommodate our unique requests and needs for hospitalized children. I hope to be able to continue to partner with them in the future.
The National Cancer Assistance Foundation has been so supportive of Hope's Harbor and the families we serve! We are so grateful for their generosity and kindness to help our families during the holiday seasons. They have made an incredible impact by helping to ease the burden these families are facing during their time with us. THANK YOU!
National Cancer Assistance Foundation (NATCAF) stands out as an exemplary leader in providing supportive resources for the pediatric cancer population! Quick to respond, thoughtful, and generous are perfect descriptors for my work with NATCAF. As an oncology social worker, I am proud to be able to partner with them to support our patients and families battling childhood cancer. Thank you!
NCAF reached out to us in November asking for a wish list to support our patients. We provided the list and the NCAF quietly shopped the list and had items shipped directly to the hospital. It was one of the most humble and altruistic donations I personally have been a part of.
Given a diagnosis of cancer not only filled my heart with dread but also how on a fixed income could I afford the medical treatments that I knew I would need to have a fighting chance to survive my breast cancer diagnosis. Being on a fixed income leaves no room for any added expenses with out causing a negative outcome on just having basic necessities. A dear friend who was a breast cancer survivor encouraged me to contact NATCAF for help with my financial needs. The application process was user friendly as I am in my seventies and have very limited computer skills and the financial assistance came just in time as I am now battling lymph edema due to my surgery and radiation treatments. Thank you so much National Cancer Assistance for your help during a very difficult time in my life, as it has allowed me to concentrate on getting better and not worrying about how I pay my rent.
Hi I'm Heidi,
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 2022 and we have been majorly challenged financially because of lack of income. Just wanted to express my gratitude for funds received from NATCAF to help pay our electric bill this month. This helps out so much and I wanted to express how thankful we are to be able to pay to keep the lights on. Thank you so much.
My name is Amparo Gomez. I am a 59 year-old woman who was diagnosed with left breast cancer (Left Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma, grade 2, Stage 1A) on April 7, 2022. My type of cancer is ER+/PR+/HER2-, Oncotype 29 and metastasized to one of my lymph nodes. I had a left breast partial mastectomy and two lymph nodes removed on August 3, 2022. I was hospitalized in the Intermediate Care Unit for 8 days because I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and Sick Sinus Syndrome.
I started my chemotherapy treatment on November 10, 2022; The treatment will be one session every three (3) weeks for a total of 4 sessions, lasting for 3 months, followed by 30-40 radiation sessions, one every day from Monday-Friday.
Recently, I received a Visa gift card in the amount of $300.00 from your foundation, the National Cancer Assistance Foundation (NATCAF). My husband and I are very grateful with your organization because we will be able to pay for gasoline during my treatment.
Organizations like yours do make a difference in Cancer patients like myself.
Thank you all for your financial support, love and mission. God bless you and keep up the good work!
I wanted to drop a quick message and say thank you so much for the extra help in my time of need!! I couldn't be more appreciative for the extra help and organizations like these to help people going through this. Thanks again so very much!!!
I am 70, and my breast cancer that I had in 2013, has reoccurred. High costs of initial scans, tests, CT's, biopsies, radiation treatments, medications, insurance deductibles are certainly a strain on our limited income. We had many two-hour round trips of 90 miles, plus gas, and parking fees that this non-profit has helped us with those associated expenses, by giving us a generous gift of a $300 visa card. It is very much appreciated by two grandparents wanting to have a little more time on this earth with our kids and grandkids. Thank you. Jo Macon
This foundation is amazing, dealing with a diagnoses that you, can only sustain. But when you have lose even more of yourself, giving up working because the pain gets so extreme you are unable to stand, you go to your knees in tears. It's a test of all emotions. Asking for help, which is something that is even harder. But they were a blessing, I was facing losing my residence. They stepped in and paid my rent, It was so good for my heart and soul. They treated my broken spirits with gentle hands.. I can't thank them enough, for all they have given me
This non-profit has allowed me to be able to buy things I had taken away when my husband left me. Now once again I am able to cook with pots and pans. Also I have plates and utensils to eat with. I am truly grateful.
Hello, my name is Tracy Terry & I'm so blessed to have received help from this organization.
Iwas so worried about my bills &being able to eat the proper foods to help me through my journey. the money went towards my bills & it also eased some stress off me. I'm forever grateful. If I ever get the chance to have money this organization will be the first to get a donation from me. Because I know firsthand how it helped me.
It was shocking to find out I had breast cancer at age 42, and I was suddenly forced to drop everything and concentrate on getting through treatment. I live alone, and don't have anyone to support me during my illness. I had to go on unpaid leave from my job and finances are now tight. Thankfully, I have had support from wonderful cancer foundations like NATCAF. They sent me a $300 visa gift card which I will use towards gas to get to all my appointments. Thank you so much for your kindness, it means the world to me!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2021. It has been a journey however with organizations like natcaf it gives you the strength to champion this disease. So incredibly grateful for the assistance they offered us. It was a tremedous help for my family. THANK YOU!!!!!
My cancer diagnosis was devastating, both emotionally and financially. I can’t describe the stress of not being able to work and pay my bills in order to receive a life saving treatment, or the immense relief and gratitude I felt when I received a gift card for household expenses from NATCAF. I can’t thank you enough for your generosity in helping people like me.
My name is Chrystal from Phoenix, AZ. I am a single mother of three children. I have two college aged sons and one daughter who is in high school. My children are my world and a huge reason for the joy that I carry.
In August 2021 I found a lump in my right breast and wanted to get it checked out. I rarely got sick and did not have a primary care doctor. It took three months for me to get scheduled with OBGYN to get a referral, which I did in October. We began a series of test and on December 6th it was confirmed it was breast cancer. This news came two weeks after moving into a home with very high rental cost. I had two sons who were away at college and decided to return and keep their classes online. There were were so many additional costs that continued to pile up as completed the surgery on March 2nd, 2022, then going through chemotherapy from July 5th-September 6th, and now heading into radiation October 10th.
Because of the demands of my job, I had to resign from that position and look for new work. Being forced to leave my job meant that I would not temporarily be uninsured for the month of September. I am a single mom with a single income and no assistance from my children's father, with inflation on gas and food, it has been extremely tough to maintain. I have found myself sinking deeper and deeper in debt. So, I contacted my financial representative at the Cancer Treatment Center of America and informed them of my financial burden.
I was given the National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc as a resource I should look into because of my situation. I took a chance and applied.
September 27th was my 43rd birthday and when I checked in the mail, I received a gift card of $500. I token of love has helped me with groceries and gas. It was so unexpected and came at the perfect time. It was like it was God's birthday gift to me, through your organization.
Thank you for your support and assistance.
Blessings,
Chrystal M.
I'm a 55 year old mother of 4 adult children and grandmother of 6 grandchildren.i was recently diagnosed with breadt cancer and will be getting a bilateral mastectomy on Sept. 27 2022.i am very grateful for the assistance I received from this nonprofit .thank you so much Susan z.
After being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the middle of the Covid Pandemic I was forced to come out of work because the treatments lowered my Immunse System. Unable to receive Unemployment I had to depend on my family to cover my bills. They made sure my mortgage and car was paid on but I still had utilities to pay. I started paying them with my savings but that soon was down to nothing. Just as I was starting to fall behind I applied for assistance with the National Cancer Assistance Foundation and they helped me the very next week. I was so relieved because without them I don't know what I would have done. They sent me a Visa Gift Card that covered all of my past due utilities. They are a true blessing to Cancer patients and I am very grateful to them for their help.
natcaf is a wonderful organization! They stepped in during my treatment and helped me with my bills. Being a single parent going through breast cancer treatment, receiving this financial grant made it easier to focus on healing and less on the financial burden associated with cancer treatment.
I reached out to National Cancer Assistance Foundation, Inc. when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was diagnosed on May 2nd, 2022. A day I'll never forget. I was completely stunned.
After that day, everything went warp speed. During my phase of 6 chemo treatments, medical bills started to come in. Although I continued to work full time, I was getting a bit buried and overwhelmed by the money I had to put out to meet my insurance deductible.
I reached out to National Cancer Assistance Foundation, Inc. Their website made it easy and comfortable to navigate and request assistance. I recently received a generous gift card from this Foundation to help with expenses. I am so grateful for this gift! Thank goodness for organizations like this one!
I'm finished with chemo. Next: surgery, radiation and immunotherapy. I know I'll get through it with my faith, positivity, family and help from wonderful organizations like National Cancer Assistance Foundation.
As the sole income for our family, I could not work that much due to a double, aggressive cancer diagnosis. We are foster and adoptive parents and my husband is their full time caregiver due to special needs and quickly became mine as well. I looked around for financial assistance grants. NATCAF processed my application quickly and their gift showed up in my mail box. As I opened it and read their letter I let out a deep breath as tears ran from my eyes. There is not much I can do these days, but I know our utility bills will be paid for this month.
Thank you for assisting in my recovering by providing support in ways my family needs!
I truly appreciate the work of the natcaf foundation. My gift of $300. came when all faith was nearly lost in humanity. While in treatment for radiation, I incurred torn skin from my body, In 2 separate places next to each other. To excuse themselves from liability the caretakers became very unkind and avoiding. As if it were my fault. So disappointing. This is not the normal for healthcare providers, and I wish everyone the very best. Some days every smile helps. I could have cried when my gift came.
I checked my mail today, as I am having a really bad day & struggling financially being newly diagnosed with breast cancer, I got this package and it had a Visa Gift card for $500. This made my day. I really am so appreciative & thankful. This will help me so much.
I can not describe in words the gratitude I have. The blessing that NATCAF provided has truly helped myself and my family. I am suffering from a rare cancer and have been going through so much in the last 8 months. I am truly Thankful.
I was so happy to have receive this blessing . This really made me smile. And my family got grogeries and some bills paid. This is such a blessing for famlies.
My name is Shakinah Smith. I am a triple negative breast cancer patient. I am grateful for the Visa gift card you sent for financial assistance. Your generous gift will help me feed my family, purchase household supplies and gas for the vehicle. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer back in June of 2021. Immediately after a needle biopsy, mammogram, and Pet scan, I started chemotherapy treatments. Due to the severe side effects I experienced, I was no longer able to work full-time or hardly at all. In March of this year, I had a double mastectomy and caught an infection with an open incision, which prevented me from working for about 2-3 months. When I finally returned for chemotherapy treatments, my oncologist informed me the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes and lungs, which is considered metastasis triple negative breast cancer. I am still undergoing chemotherapy called trodelvy, limiting my intake of red meat, possessed food, and sugar, and exercising daily. Overall I feel good. I appreciate your generosity toward me. It is amazing to have the help needed when facing an unfortunate, uncontrollable, difficult situation. Thanks again!
I just want to thank this organization so much for the gas card; I'm still in active treatment for my stage 4 breast cancer and will be for a long time so this really helps me to get back and forth; though I receive my disability check now it is not near enough to cover all expenses so things like this really help me. Thank YOU!
I am so very grateful for the donation I received from NATCAF! Being diagnosed with breast cancer and going through treatment is not just hard physically and emotionally, it can also put a strain on your financial situation quite a bit! Knowing people out there care enough to donate their own money to help others is amazing! It means more than you could ever know! Thank you!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a regular annual mammogram screening at 44 years old. With no Family history, the news came as a complete shock.
I didn’t know where to start but fortunately I was lucky enough to meet other women in the same situation who could guide me. The national cancer assistance foundation was one of the best places that could have been recommended.
Having to go through cancer and not having any knowledge of how your life is going to change, assistance leaves you so hopeful and really brightens your day.
Thank you to everyone at the national cancer assistance foundation for your help for all of us women, men and children having to fight this battle.
Thank you so much for your assistance and care shown to me, I was in a great need and you stepped in and showed me great compassion, again Thank you so very much. I am 32 years old battling cancer and I have rough times and sometimes family is there, but it's still hard for me sometimes but I will continue to push and fight this,
I want to thank NATCAF and Regina DeBonis for all the help given to me and my family in my time of need. The financial assistance I received really blessed me. I would highly recommend this organization to everyone!! I am very pleased with their services!!!!
I heard from National Cancer Assistance Foundation
and help correct the problem I did get a helpful amount and the card did work with no problems In today world people fall prey to people who up to no good. Know person or company or group are spared. I thank National cancer Assist Fountain for there help and hope
they can help more people with cancer.
I applied too National Cancer Assistance Fountain back in April for help with expenses
from Cancer and they sent me $50.00 gift card , But it had been use on the day they sent it.
April 20th, I got the card April 25th in my mail box and pick it up April 30th. I check the balance and only $10 left. So I call and told there card had been hacked. I also call vanilla Gift card and told them too. May 26th I got a new card with Letter stating they were give me a additional card of $50, well today check card and all gone expected .42 all were charged thru Google *Tpedigree Ouel small amounts of .49 to 1.99 to the same transaction code. I told they have a issue with this card company . They really need a more credible company to do business with.
I have since been told I have stage 4 cancer and so I will not get any better. Thing like this happening Make my day to day life more difficult.
NATCAF was a big help to me, I got $100 gift card from them to help me with my basic expenses during my breast cancer treatment. I'm so thankful and grateful to those people who invest their time and energy to help other people.
Thank you guys, keep up the good work.
I’m fighting Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I need all the people & organizations in my corner that I can find that will support me emotionally & financially in my battle to stay alive & thrive. With all that treatment involves and trying to recover, it is a blessing to have funds available to help shoulder the household expenses burden. And natcaf beautifully does that. Thank you so much natcaf and your gracious staff.
My experience with NATCAF has been extremely good. They helped me with two $50 Visa gift cards and I was able to purchase special supply dressings that are needed for the wounds that I have on both of my breasts. My insurance covers 30 days but because both my breasts have wounds I have to purchase another 30 days of supplies to have enough until my next refill. The $100 really helped and I look forward to NATCAF being able to help others like me in the future.
Hi! My name is Shirley C. and I have stage 3 breast Cancer and I have two types of Cancer in the right side of my breast. My husband and I are retired and live on a tight budget, it is very hard as we both have health issues. I'm so grateful to have foundations such as National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc we received a $5o gift card just in time to help with food. The cost of eating healthy is very expensive for us and every dollar counts especially now that I have bills growing from chemotherapy and doctor appointments. It's emotional uplifting to know there is help available.
I'd like to start by saying thank you for the fifty dollar gift card that you sent me. When I received the card I remember thinking that I know exactly what to spend it on. The radiation starts to reek havoc on your body. The soaps and lotions are too strong for your skin. Everything is so sensitive these are the products you have to use. I was able to buy enough to probably last me throughout my radiation period.
Thank you National Cancer Center for all the assistance you have given to me and my family. I found out that I have stage2 Breast Cancer was a life changing experience to my family and I. Grateful for the acts of kindness that I received from people that do not know me was such a blessing. Words could never convey how I feel ,and gratitude towards the National Caner center. Thank you very much.
Thank you, National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc., for your prompt assistance in helping our family. Your gift will help us in a major way. Cancer has been devastating to us because the diagnosis came at a time when we had a death in the family.
The National cancer assistance foundation helped me at a time when I was in great need. The assistance application process was quick and easy to use. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I am unable to work and they were able to help out immediately with assistance! Thank you so much! I am beyond thankful and blessed!
My story began 3/25/2021, my name is Michelle Moore. Mother of two grown boys, one blind, one expecting my first grandchild in June. I’ve never fathomed the idea of ME getting breast cancer. I had a breast reduction in 94, no cancer runs in my family so I was good to go…..Until that day. I woke up with a golf ball size lol on my left breast with 4 smaller ones beside it, and was told it had made it to my lymph nodes. Soooo, here I am 50 at the time, just got hired for my dream job, was a week away from celebrating how great my life was…..I have HER2+ ER+PR+, the most aggressive and up until just a year before, there had not been any approved effective treatment. But by Gods grace, even though it was aggressive and would kill me in no time had I not gotten treatment, it was NOW the best to treat with the “JUST “ approved concoction of poison if my body responded and I could handle it. Long story short, I couldn’t take my dream job, I started 6 cycles, 18 treatments weekly preparing for my DMX and 35 radiation treatments. I’ve had surgery, finished radiation Monday, and only have 2 more chemo treatments and then reconstruction surgery. During this time it was so easy to lose hope and to be humbled is an understatement. I lost everything, had to move in with my caregiver for the moment, and look for help anywhere that would listen. The National Cancer Foundation helped me when all I literally my sheer will to live. I haven’t been able to get anything without asking someone for money that I know they don’t have, the $ and gifts they sent me just proved that God has blessed me and so many others for a company willing to help someone they have no idea who I am. Although, I spent most of it on my future Grandson, I am forever grateful for the assistance they provided and will always be an advocate for breast cancer and let others know all about this foundation.
My most sincere thanks and love,
Michele Moore
ALIVE and plan on staying this way for a LONG time!!!
The assistance that they provided in the form of a Visa gift card was so very needed. It gave me the opportunity to paid some bills and buy groceries. Applying for the assistance went smoothly and the gift card was received very quickly. NCAF is a great and caring organization. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
National Cancer Assistant Foundation is a great company they sent me a gift card to compensate me for expenses to help me while I’m going through this life threatening disease, they was fast providing their assistance after signing up 2 weeks later I was compensated, plus by me staying 1 1/2 hour away the gift card came right on time to help compensate me bc of gas being so expensive bc of the inflation. Thanks so much National Cancer Assistance Foundation I’m so grateful!!God bless
My experience with National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc was indispensable, welcoming, warming, supportive, not much energy from myself. A simple application, with documentation was all that I had to gather. I am so excited to have been approved for this assistance, As I am exhausted, yet hopeful this non profit provided direct assistance in a little amount of time. This assistance will assist me in paying utilities and have a little extra for a rainy day when I’m not feeling so great. Yesterday, was a bad day but today is a better day thanks to National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc. Your support is so greatly appreciated at this time for me. Thank you Kindly!

Every person's interaction with an organization is unique. It was at a stressful time in my life I found myself having to lean on others for assistance but at the same time unsure on who I could turn to. Since September 2021 I have received 2 Breast Cancer diagnosis, which both knocked me off my feet. I never thought it would be, but it is. Receiving that news then to find out all of the insurance I signed up for through work were no longer available because my employer chose a new company, something I didn't know about was another hit to me. Now I am sick and don't know how I am going to support my family.
I am so very Grateful for the support that the National Cancer Assistance Foundation has given me. At a time when things are confusing, finances are not certain, and you're not sure who you can turn to for help they are a true Blessing. At such an uncertain time this organization was/is a blessing. Thank you again for being there when I needed this the most, Christina Crosby
My Name is Nanette Bell I was diagnostic with breast cancer July 2021. It's been very hard for being sick can't work can't pay my bills due to me being sick during treatment. I appreciate your help still need help with rent and bills behind two months in rent. I've been waiting on disability for almost a year. I'm having a double mastectomy Feburary 24, 2022. Might have to move because I want be able to pay rent are bills. Thank you so much.
I thank this agency very very much, it was very much appreciated.
My name is Anita Rice, and in September of 2013 my life as I knew it changed forever. I was a wife a mother of 3 and an Administrative Asst. at a large hospital facility, when one day a pain in my right breast made me recognize a dimple on my right breast. My worst fears were confirmed. The pathology from the biopsy showed one of the most aggressive types of breast cancers known, it was Triple negative.
One month later I underwent a 10 hour surgery a right breast mastectomy along with reconstruction. After my body healed 12 weeks later I started
and completed, 6 rounds of Successful chemo treatments which put me in remission.
In June of 2018, 4 years and 8 months later a horrible pain in my right leg sent me to the ER to discover that the cancer had returned by way of metastasis to the bones in my right hip and skeleton. I was devastated and afraid. I knew that in order to survive this I had a huge battle ahead of me. Radiation and chemotherapy were my only options. I underwent 36 radiation treatments followed by 190 chemo infusions and still counting.
CT scans every 3 months have shown that the cancer is stable.
I'm currently on a new drug
given every Friday. This drug is specifically for triple negative breast cancer. The prognosis for women with triple negative BC is not good, yet I have survived 9 years!
I would encourage all women to get mammograms on schedule, that is one of my biggest regrets. Inspite
of that I'm still winning this battle, and would like to encourage women to fight and never give up.
Here are a few pictures of me from the beginning of the battle to the current date. And by the way most breast cancer drugs will cause you to lose your hair. And there are a lot of beautiful wigs to remedy that situation!
I am so THANKFUL for National Cancer Assistance Foundation for blessing me with assistance to help with my household bills and expenses. The funds allotted to me, help me to place my focus on enduring each chemotherapy infusions and injections, instead of being concerned about my financial needs at home. Thank you so much for lifting my financial weight!!!
NCAF is a wonderful foundation, to apply for assistance is very easy process. I appreciate so much the gift card that was send for my son. I am going to be able to pay for utility/rent bills and because of it, I am going to be able to get him some Christmas presents.
Thank you to NCAF for all the help they do!!!
National Cancer Assistance Foundation provided assistance toward some of my household expenses. The assistance couldn't have come at a more convenient time. Due to being diagnosed with breast cancer I have been unable to work for the past 6 months and was eventually let go from my job of 5 years. I was worried about how I would get these expenses taken care of. Thankfully, I got a referral to the National Cancer Assistance Foundation. They kept an open line of communication with me as far as the application process and were available to answer any additional questions I had. I am very grateful for their contribution.
My name is Amanda and I have Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer. I was diagnosed in 2018 at the age of 33. Stage 4 breast cancer has no cure. We are considered terminal and we are given a life expectancy of 2-5 years. I am not married but I have an 18 year old son who just graduated high school. In 2016 he lost his father in a bad 18 wheeler accident and now the thought that he may lose me has been devastating. We were living a pretty normal life even though every year we were literally drowning in debt brought on by cancer. It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I was one of the many who lost their jobs. Seemed like everything came crashing down. Never in a million years did I think I would fall rock bottom on my knees. I lost it all in a blink of an eye. I worked so hard to go to college and get a career in the dental field of 14 years, provide Insurnace for me and my son, have a steady income to just lose it all. Having a terminal illness has been soo hard to deal with mentally, physically, and financially. I can honestly say that I lost hope in applying for assistance because In my 3 years I did reach out for help to one of the biggest non profit organizations and got zero help. As embarrassing as it may sound I have attended soo many food drives just to keep my family above water and feeling the effect of cancer. NCAF has given me that hope back. I was super shocked to receive mail informing me that I qualified for assistance. I cried and was mixed with soo much emotion because it was late November when I sat at my computer searching and searching for assistance. I knew property taxes were coming up and I needed to find ways to move around where our money went. I applied to so many. When I received that letter in the mail it brought back the pain, tears of that day as I sat there applying. God is good. This is such a relief and blessing especially for the upcoming Christmas holidays. This is truly an organization that needs to be recognized and have more donations because they truly give back.
The National Cancer Assistance Foundation has done so much for me. Without the amazing efforts of the foundation, there's no way I would've ever been able to make rent and take care of my family.

I can't explain the appreciation I have for NCAF, I am a veteran, with Stage 3 Breast and Lymphoid Cancer, I am employed and working as much as I can through this process. I have never asked for help from any organization before, I always thought that there were others that needed it more than me. I became stressed and upset about my situation and trying to pay and maintain a "normal" life and NCAF came to my rescue. They didn't make me feel uncomfortable from day 1, in all communication was professional with the goal of helping me get through this. They didn't ask uncomfortable questions, everything was straight forward. The process was very fast as well. They rescued me when I needed it the most, I truly appreciate everything they did to help me to include catching up my car payments, sending me an amazing gift package with a gift card I used for some other bills. I felt instant relief, which makes going through these stages of treatment Chemotherapy and Radiation, more successful in my opinion, concentration on getting better, remaining focused with energy that was previously stress. Thank you so much for everything, I truly appreciate the professional process and employee's you have at NCAF! Amazing!
I found out in 2016 I had breast cancer. in 2019 found out I had brain cancer and 2020,and2021 also found out had in my liver and lymp nobes. I got in touch with Steffany Epps LMSW,OSW-C Cancer Liaison. She helped me fill out paper work . With in a mouth I received a Vise CC. for $500.00. I am so greatful . it will help with gas and bills. It takes a little stress off me. I will let everybody I know about the Foundation. Thank Y'all so very much.
Love and Blessings to all. I came across The National Cancer Assistance Foundation while searching for financial assistance due to a recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Since I do not have health insurance nor can afford it, I found myself in great need of help. As you know, medical care for cancer is very expensive. Even the smallest expenses add up such as Over the Counter medications for symptoms to prescription drugs. One of my greatest challenges even now is affording the gas to travel back and forth to the Hospital Facilities for treatment and being able to maintain utilities, food, and all the usual expenses.
When I applied for help through The National Cancer Assistance Foundation, they were thorough, professional, and provided help right when I was in need. I truly loved the way they surprised me with a package of very useful items and the financial assistance. I am so very grateful that this was available to me and that they treated me with care and compassion. I am still facing continued chemo-treatments, surgery, and radiation treatments which a daunting challenge but the Nation Cancer Assistance Foundation has helped to get me to this point. I am hopeful that when all this is behind me, that I can be a donor as well to help those that need help. I see the importance of this great endeavor and I pray that others will give from their hearts. They will be truly blessed if they do.
Thank you for allowing me to share this with you all,
Kindest regards,
J. Wells
NATCAF WAS A HUGE BLESSING TO ME AND MY CHILDREN WHEN I FIRST HEARD ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION I WAS HAVING A ROUGH TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT SOME FINANCIAL WORRIES THAT I WAS HAVING SO I PRINTED THE APPLICATION AND SENT IT BACK AND A FEW WEEKS PASSED AND I WAS BLESSED BY THIS ORGANIZATION WHILE CRYING TEARS OF JOY I THANKED GOD BECAUSE THEY HELPED ME WITH MY FINANCIAL WORRIES. NATCAF IS TRULY A BLESSING!!!
NCAF helped me greatly during my cancer treatment. Once they found out my needs they quickly provided me with the financial assistance I needed and also included a touching personal note and other additional goodies. They also continued to reach out to me during my treatment to see if anything additional was needed. I felt like they truly cared about me.
NCAF helped us greatly in our time of need. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2019 and have been fighting the battle since then. I am still waiting on getting a bone marrow transplant which I am unable to get right now due to liver damage. The foundation sent me a box with living essentials like masks and hand sanitizer and even threw in some items for my 2 year old son. They also sent us some gift cards that were greatly appreciated since I am currently not able to work due to my diagnosis. My wife is my primary caretaker and cares for my son. Thank you NCAF for the help you provided for my family and I.
Hi! My name is Deborah Engelbracht. I'm 57 years old and was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer June of 2020. I had a lumpectomy and started chemo and radiation in July 2020. I am unable to work because of treatment and side effects. I am on disability and medicaid. Paying bills each month is a stressful struggle. I am able to get some help from family and friends. Thanks to your organization for providing me Financial help. I was able to pay my car payment and car insurance without having to worry about how they were going to get paid. I can't tell you what a relief it was. I am thankful and blessed. Having cancer is bad enough without having to worry how your bills are going to get paid. Thank you again for your support.
I am incredibly grateful to the National Cancer Assistance Foundation, Inc. for their efficient, speedy and substantial financial assistance provided. The application process was simple, easy to understand and easy submission. I provided my supplemental documents and cancer diagnosis with my application.
I was approved within a week or so of submission, and shortly after I received my funds as well as masks, hand sanitizers and school supplies for my children. The funds I received helped me with groceries, past due medical expenses and past due utility bills.
I will always be grateful for the NATCAF.
I found this organization through another organization called The Pink Fund. I reached out to them for financial assistance because I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer December 17, 2020. I was already going through a divorce which happened in March 2021 and having to still take care of two children that were 16 and 12. I was working for an airline full-time and had just graduated aesthetic school to open up my own Skin care business. All of that came to a halt the day I was diagnosed. I had to immediately stop working and turn to organizations to help while I was going to active cancer treatment. I went through a mastectomy and three ports, and another emergency surgery all in a matter of three months. I reached out to your organization for help and within a matter of about 10 days, there was a check at my apartment complex to cover my rent. I was also told that they were actually giving away $5000 this year to qualified applicants. That was my saving grace. I have pretty much gone through every organization I could to get assistance and it was running out because I have pretty much gotten assistance from just about everywhere. This grant came right on time and took care of me and my children for three months of our rent. It also helped me over until I was able to at least go back to work at a part-time job that allowed me to bring some money into the household. I really appreciate you guys. It’s hard enough getting news like this and having your entire world thrown into a tailspin. We should be able to focus on getting better but sometimes that is not the case because we have to focus on taking care of our families. Everyone is not in a financial position to just sit at home while they are going through treatment, Even though they need to be and I was one of those people. You guys don’t know how much of a blessing you are to my family at that time and I hope that you continue to receive funding, donations, and grants so that you may continue to heal people like me that are battling this dreadful disease. Thank you so much for how you’ve helped my family!
I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in April of 2021. I had a partial mastectomy in June of 2021 followed by 4 weeks of radiation treatment. Fortunately I did not need chemo. During this time my husband was having tingling and pain in his arms and legs, and was unable to go to work due to the pain medication he was prescribed. He was a truck drive for Schneider International. Medicare finally approved an MRI in August. At 7:00 p.m. the evening he had the MRI the radiologist called and told us to go to Medical City Hospital of Ft. Worth immediately. He told us his spinal cord was compressed due to critical spinal stenosis of the first three vertebrae. He had immediate surgery the next day. They went in through the front of his neck. Exactly one week later his legs went numb. He had to have another emergency surgery this time they made an incision from the base of the back of his neck down to his shoulders! He has been on unpaid medical leave since the end of April. I earn $1,000 a month as a teacher's aide. If it hadn't been for your organization sending us a very generous gift card, along with a couple other charities who paid our house payment and utilities we would've been homeless. I can't thank you enough for the financial assistance you gave us. He still has a surgery on the 19th of October to reroute a blockage in his legs due to a DVT and peripheral artery disease. He has an appointment with Social Security in November, and we are praying that he will either get emergency social security benefits or social security disability. It is doubtful (with the titanium plates and screws in his neck) that he will be able to go back to truck driving. We are still depending on food banks, and friends who have contributed to make our bills, and our taxes on our home are due in October. Again thank you for what you have done no words can express our gratitude. I have my post surgery mammogram this Friday the 8th. Please pray that it is clean and that the cancer has not returned.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2020. I had a lumpectomy on April 7, 2020, and I started Radiaton treatment in June.
Shortly after being diagnosed, I was given a list of organizations that helped cancer patients with financial, and lodging assistance.
One Organization in particular was National Cancer Association Foundation.
After contacting NCAF, all of the staff there, went above and beyond, in assisting me either by contacting or connecting me with someone who could help me, and the entire staff were very kind, compassionate, caring, Involved, and professional.
The application process was very simple and fast.
Needless to say, not only did I receive a generous monetary gift, I also received a box of goodies.
When the box of goodies arrived, I was like a kid in a candy store., every item in the box was greatly appreciated, and my heart was full!
I travel to UAB Birmingham Al for my Oncology treatments, and it gets (is) pretty expensive.
Therefore, the monetary gift that I received was greatly needed, and it helped me facilitate traveling to and from Birmingham Al, all the more better!
Once I’m able, I will financially support NCAF, just as they have supported me in my time of need, and uncertainty.
Furthermore, I will continue to support NACF in any way that I can, so that they will be able, and continue to support others along their Cancer journey.
With deepest gratitude,
Cassandra
They were exceptionally kind. I felt like a human being and not a number. I had lost my spouse my job and my daughter stopped speaking to me. I am on disability and could not find a place to live that I could afford.
I was lost and alone their phone calls were like a lifeline And their financial assistance kept a roof over my head while I found something more affordable. Here’s a picture of me with my first wig
I developed breast cancer in 2015 then two years later it spread to my other breast and two years after that it mestasized to my skull. I had to quit my job and take early retirement. Thank you National Cancer Assistance Foundation for helping me. You are #1 in my book!
I was diagnosed with triple negative metastatic breast cancer in summer 2019. Chemotherapy, surgeries and radiation were exhausted physically, mentally and financial. The National Cancer Assistance Foundation helped me to survive when I am going through the active cancer treatment. With their support I had possibility to concentrate on my healing during the treatment. Thank you very much for timely and much needed support. Ana Bell
National Cancer Assistance program came in to help just when I needed it. Going through a year and a half of the strongest cancer treatments they’ve got for breast cancer had me too unwell to work and I was worried about taking care of basic needs. Their gift made such a difference...and with heart!
Hello Everyone, I am a breast cancer survivor and I would like to share a bit of my experience with NCAF. When I was told that I had breast cancer it felt like I was hit by a wrecking ball and I went numb. I knew I had a rough road ahead of me because at the time of my diagnosis I was out of work due to seasonal employment. I had little money and knew I needed to get out there and do some research for possible assistance in so many areas. Doctor bills, medication and transportation, etc. So I got busy and found many nonprofits that help cancer patients. When I contacted NBAF, I received a quick response and after verification process I sat to wait a response. Several nonprofits I didn’t fit their criteria, it can be such a task to find assistance at such a difficult time.
After coming home from a very stressful appointment, I found a box waiting for me from NCAF, included were several personal items that a breast cancer patient would use-blanket, lotions and potions. A wonderful letter and also a generous Visa Gift Card, which you can use for any of your needs. If you are in need of assistance for your cancer diagnosis I dearly recommend reaching out to NCAF. Thank You NCAF for being there for me during such a difficult time.
I was devastated and running on empty, that was until the NCAF sent me a wonderful surprise! A box filled with goodies; like a warm fleece blanket, cozy socks, specialized skin care creams from SkinFix and 2 Visa gift cards! Their gifts made me smile and get through my last rounds of chemo! I am so glad that organizations like the NCAF exist! - Melissa Miller/ NH
Well, my experience with the NCAF was far more than I could ever expect. When I wrote to them with my situation (stage 4 breast cancer), this foundation assisted me with funds as-well-as other items and information that could/would help me. I don't think I could have found a better funding company. As a matter of fact, I wrote/call other agencies and was turned down for whatever the reason(s). I feel this foundation really cares about persons who are in need of assistance.
Whatever and whomever is behind/in this foundation needs to be commended for all that is done to assist those in need. May GOD continue to BLESS and KEEP you in HIS care.
Thank you to this amazing foundation for giving me a 500 gift card it helped me buy a snow blower for winter
My name is Beiva Martinez, and I first diagnosed with stage3a breast cancer in August of 2019, when I first found out I didn't know what to do, I froze @ that moment, tears started to come out, and the doctor told me, "Dont Worry" everything is going to be ok, but @ that moment all I can think of was my son, what was going to happen if anything happens to me. When I left the Doctors office all I did was pray. But @ the sametime I wasn't so worry cause I know I had faith in god. And that faith help me coped with the fact the cancer it wasn't going to stop me from living a normal life with my son. When I started my treatments I didn't know what to spect, I didn't think much about if it was going to hurt me or what kind of side effects I was going to have, I knew that I was to loose my hair right away, the forst treatment was chemo, my first one was a little painful, cause I felt pain in my lower back, but they gave me benadryl for the pain, it relaxed me, and put me to sleep, but the rest wasn't so bad, except the side effects after, and loosing my hair, but that wasn't that important of loosing it. I had 4 chemo all together. When I finished all my chemotherapy, I started radiation, @ first it wasn't bad, cause I didn't feel anything, after a few radiation I started to feel a burning sensation on my skin, and itching, also it started peeling under my skin, that was really painful, but when I was done I received a certificate of my finishing my treatments without giving up. But with all this it was worth @ the end and so far I feel great. And I owed all to god and my strength of faith. Thank you. Beiva Martinez
I am a 29 yr old single mother of two small children and have a very limited income and because of my terminal disease am unable to work which is very hindering to myself and family, NCAF has been so gracious and so very helpful with my financial burdens I don’t know how I would have made it some months without their help! Anyone else having financial struggles due to limited or loss of income bc of cancer I highly recommend contacting them they are so helpful and so kind and willing to go the distance to help. Thanks to them I don’t have the worry and anxiety of not being able to pay my bills or provide for my children. Thank you all for everything your have done
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 5/1/20. I was in need of financial assistance so I applied for assistance with NCAF shortly after I reviewed a gift card as well as a care package with masks, hand sanitizer and other nice and important items! It came at just the right time and I loved it!
National Cancer Assistance Foundation Inc came just at the right time when we really needed help esp during Covid-19 pandemic. All jobs stopped for 5 months and only 1 daughter got called back to work only with lesser hours. At times, I don't know how we survived month after month after month. God really do provide. I'm a single mom of 4, diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, metastasized to spine in late 2016. I got laid off from my job in Dec 2017 and on disability. Recently found out from MRI 2 new tumors wrapped around nerves that extends from the spinal cord. I will be doing a much stronger advanced radiation treatment called Cyberknife Radiation. It has been very stressful it makes it difficult to even focus on my health. That is why I'm so grateful for foundations like NCAF for the assistance given to us. Nothing is too small when you are in need. Every help received is a huge help in easing our burdens. So thank you NCAF and I pray that God will continually bless you so you can share those blessings to others.
