Mission: Habitat for humanity of medina county, inc. Unites volunteers with those in need of affordable housing. Habitat for humanity also operates a restore retail store which offers donated building supplies for sale to the general public at discounted prices.
Programs: Home construction program - habitat for humanity of medina county buys/builds and sells homes to eligible low-income families. Home sales are financed with non-interest bearing loans to families who show a desire to become homeowners by completing habitats partnership requirements. During our fiscal year ended june 30, 2018, three homes were sold to partner families under this program.
discounted building materials resale center restore - the habitat restore is a retail building materials sales center that is open to the public. The restore receives donations of new, and like new, usable materials from local businesses and individuals. We offer these items to the public at a fraction of their retail price. During our fiscal year ended june 30, 2018, sales from our restore program totaled 445,749.
