Mission: Santa fe habitat for humanity promotes affordable homeownership for santa fe area residents by constructing simple, adequate houses through the cooperative efforts of volunteers, partner families, donors and staff.
Programs: Placed 6 families in homes and completed 1 major rehab and 13 other repair projects during the fiscal year. Also provided the following:1. Provided support to homeowners (88 families) in the following capacities:a. The families receive our quarterly newsletterb. Getting the families involved with habitat and its missionc. Assisted families with household budget creation & managementd. Provided families with financial education toolse. Provided families with homeowner skills(i. E. ) reducing utility cost, basic home repairs, etc. 2. Working with habitat international, participated in the americorps program in which 3 americorps members worked full-time during 11 months of the year. In return, the americorps members were provided with the following training and educational pieces:a. On-the-job training in construction skills and office skillsb. Cultural education and diversityc. Citizenship and leadership skills, and volunteerism3. Volunteers involved with the organization during the fiscal yeara. Utilized 727 individual volunteers (not including the americorps program) during the fiscal year in all aspects of the organization, including the construction program, the restore, fundraising and administrative capacities. B. The total number of volunteer man-hours during the year was 24,900 (not including the americorps program)
