Mission: The greater southwest development corporation is the catalyst for creating and maintaining a vital greater southwest chicago community. Empowering, building, and sustaining development raises the quality of life for our neighborhood residents, businesses and industries.

reach center - as a division of greater southwest development corporation, the reach center offers a wide range of financial, housing and job assistance services to community residents. The reach center offers housing counseling services; financial coaching services; employment services; income supports screening; and computer training.
commercial supportive services (css) a strong economic base, diverse population, and ideal location continue to be compelling incentives for new and expanding businesses to select chicagos southwest side as their home. As a long standing service in the city of chicago, css supports businesses by connecting them to city services; providing businesses access to the city of chicago small business center; connecting businesses to local elected officials; aligning businesses with various city departments; and assisting with applications for city of chicago small business loans and grants. Gsdc works diligently to help local entrepreneurs find the perfect location for their business.
