Mission: The Government Accountability Information Network (G.A.I.N.) is an Oak Brook, Illinois-based not-for-profit civic organization formed to simplify public involvement in its own governance. G.A.I.N. is a community-based educational service agency. Our quest is, quite simply, to illuminate the challenges, the trends, the opportunities, the approaches and the solutions that are defining the future of American communities and citizenship.
We believe the best way to accomplish our mission statement is by defining the root causes of crime, violence, social problems and corruption in our communities, and addressing these problems through education and information distribution. G.A.I.N. is dedicated into developing a more effective system of governance by fostering the exchange of information and support between nonprofit, private and public sector innovators who are working aggressively to champion new and better ways to make government work.
