As a former manager, the description posted about this "nonprofit" is disheartening because it has shifted so far away from what should be it's core values and guiding principles. The programs discussed are continually being eliminated which results in loss of jobs for the only people who work there for the mission. Yet as stores have lese and less interaction with the mission and community out reach, prices continued to increase and the "round-up" programs went from occasional to every other month. So where does the money go? As they preach of transparency and dislcosing all information in regard to business expense and profit, as stores contribute more the visibility of the positive effects continue to darken. When I interviewed for my position and the salary was disclosed, I was shocked. The response was "We are nonprofit but that doesn't mean we don't like to make money!" And that became more and more evident the 710 days I was there.
