Mission: The girls club of los angeles' mission is to enrich the lives of low-income children, youth, and families through early education, youth development, and community outreach, which will contribute to self-sufficient, stable and productive individuals.

Girls club of los angeles (gcla) received a two-year grant from first 5 la to implement the strategies and activities formulated by the best start west athens community partnership. First 5 la best start offers services for young parents ages 12-24 with children between the ages 0-5 to ensure that they have access to the services which support optimal care for and promote the healthy development, school readiness and well-being of young children.
