Causes: Health, Organ & Tissue Banks
Mission: The foundation is dedicated to promoting and supporting michigan's donation and transplant community. To this end we encourage and disburse funds to needy organ transplant recipients, both pre and post transplant, in the state of michigan. Assistance with their immunosuppressive medications and other expenses are in great need. Public education and lecture grants are organized through an annual application process with deadlines and trustee oversight. Grants are vetted through the organization based on how they contribute to the mission of the foundation. Grants of all kinds are highlighted on the foundations annual report.
Programs: Grants awarded to help in educational areas including; marketing of state donor registry, faith based awareness programs, new start programs for transplant patients, medical examiner training and resources to improved methods of tissue donation, advertisement at large sporting events, and library events throughout the state.
