Mission: Promote and fund historical preservation through the operation of a visitor center in partnership with colorado department of transporation and rent other historical structures
Programs: Operate a visitor center and rest area of travelers on i-70 at exit 228; provide exhibits interpreting local history and nature; promote appreciation for local history and sell related books, souvenirs, maps, etc. ;purchase, restore, and operate historic properties to generate income to fund historical preservation
cultural arts program (cap: this is a yearlong program to encompass traditional crafts, fine arts, music, drama, film and gardening. These art forms are presented through classes and workshops, from in-depth and challenging to a tasting of the topic to entice the beginner; exhibits; lectures; vocal and instrumental music concerts; movies for both children and adult viewers; and occasional dance and drama performances.
