Mission: Gateway education & therapy is a franklin county, missouri, area non-profit whose mission is to bring kids with challenges forward faster. Gateway education & therapy provides many kinds of therapies for children with developmental delays, including applied behavioral analysis, as well as providing social skills classes for these children. This allows them to more fully participate in day to day functions. Gateway serves children with down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental delays. Gateway serves to provide needed services to children who do not qualify for services in the public school system, and much needed additional services for those students who do qualify, but receive less than needed programs.
Programs: Gateway education & therapy serves over one hundred children with special needs. These special needs programs offer children a sense of belonging while providing therapeutic interventions. In addition, typically developing peers learn to be empathetic and compassionate towards people with differences. Many students attend these programs through scholarships and receive services at no cost. These programs address behavior issues, social skills, problem solving and speech and language development
