Mission: Garces foundation is committed to ensuring that philadelphia'sunderserved immigrant community has access to health and educationalservices.
Programs: English for the restaurant and everyday living is an applied learningesl class for restaurant workers, which aims to narrow the language andcultural gap in and outside of the workplace. This program serves 75students each quarter from 50 restaurants and is located at 1117 epassyunk, in the heart of south philadelphia's mexican community.
community health days, held quarterly, are hosted by garces dentalgroup in philadelphia's old city where uninsured patients can receivefree dental services and diagnostic medical care.
luna farm field trips take place in bucks county where children growand harvest produce that they use to cook their own healthy lunch. Thisis followed by practicing fun ways to exercise and learning theimportance of making healthy choices.
