Mission: Services to autistic children
Programs: Provided therapeutic socialization groups for children on the autism spectrum. Ran 22 - 28 groups per week. Groups had from 2 - 5 children diagnosed with autism or complex learning disabilities. Provided individual socialization coaching to 15 children on the autism spectrum to help decrease anxiety and increase pro-social skills. Offered quarterly music and game nights for clients presently or previously enrolled in our groups. Provided consultations to parents and professionals. School, professional and parent consults averaged 6 - 9 per week. Presented a workshop for parents of children on the autism spectrum. Applied for grants. Facilitated 2 weekly music therapy groups for chldren with autism in public schools. Supervised graduate intern. Coordinated volunteer efforts for annual fundraising concert. Accepted volunteer help from local high school leadership program who assisted organization establish an on-line presence. High school students with and without autism also volunteered to present at trainings.
