I volunteered at Veterans Inc. at their headquarters in Worcester MA. I had a great experience helping prepare items for their annual golf tournament, organizing materials, and taking inventory of supplies. My supervisors, Amanda and Morgan, were very clear with their instruction to me and directly showed how my actions would directly benefit the organization. My experience was very rewarding, and I'd highly recommend any potential volunteers to reach out and offer their time to Veterans Inc!
I donated to their Stars and Stripes Tribute to honor my dad, a Marine Corps Veteran. I was very pleased with the thank you letter and tribute plaque that was provided to my family for the donation.
This is a beautiful way to support Veterans with a tribute to someone in your life.

The sense of community at Veterans Inc. is truly heartwarming. The veterans themselves are inspiring, and their stories of resilience and strength are a testament to the importance of the work being done here. I was constantly motivated by the dedication of my fellow volunteers and the collaborative spirit that permeates every aspect of the organization, during the 19th Annual Stand Down. I will be back to volunteer my time again at future events!
The hard-working employees of this company are amazing. They are genuinely committed to this cause. I’m grateful for volunteering at events and the food pantry to support Veterans Inc.

I am both a Veteran and an employee of this wonderful organization. Veterans Inc is a large non-profit organization that focuses on helping Veterans. We have many different programs to address the variety of needs our veterans are experiencing. Homelessness, Recovery, Employment and Training, Financial Assistance, Suicide Prevention, Clothing, and Food Pantry are a few of our offerings. Veterans Inc lives by the motto, "They were there when we needed them. We must be there now that they need us." This organization treats its employees very fairly (many of which are Veterans themselves) and ensures that the Veterans are well taken care of.

From what I see as an employee in this organization, there are many other employees who genuinely care about the veterans they serve. Many of the employees are actually veterans themselves. The hard working staff is always putting in extra hours to ensure the veterans are well taken care of. There are many facets to Veterans Inc.: food pantry, clothing, shelter services, substance abuse services, employment and training, counseling services, capital projects, events, donations, outreach, temp financial assistance, etc. The overall operation is immense and I compliment Veterans Inc. on its efforts to keep the entire organization together and running smoothly.
Wonderful Organization! The staff are dedicated and caring individuals who always seem to go above and beyond for our veterans. They have so many different programs and services to ensure veterans get everything they need to get back on their feet
Veterans Inc is a great partner for our Day of Caring. They are easy to work with and welcomed the volunteers who chose their project with open arms. The volunteers stated they had a great time volunteering with them.
They are doing great work within the community.
Worked with this charity for over a year with pretty lousy communication from them. Filed all the requested paperwork and nothing happened. The new year came and they requested all the paperwork again that was dated for the current year. Again nothing happened. I reached out and they said the person i worked with was no longer with them and I had to start from scratch. Makes me wonder what they are doing with all the funds that are donated to them. Very frustrating experience.
Throughout my time volunteering, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact Veterans Inc. has on veterans and their families. The range of services provided is impressive, from housing and employment assistance to mental health support and wellness programs. It's evident that the organization takes a holistic approach to addressing the needs of veterans, ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support.

If you or someone you know is a Veteran or a loved one of a Veteran, don't hesitate to reach out to Veterans Inc. They will do whatever they can do help and support. Food, clothing, job search, etc.
Volunteering at Veterans Inc. has not only allowed me to give back to those who have given so much for our country, but it has also enriched my own life in countless ways. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause and would highly recommend volunteering at Veterans Inc. to anyone looking to make a meaningful impact. This organization is truly a beacon of hope and support for our veterans, and I am proud to support them.

I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at Veterans Inc., and it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I recently donated my time at their food pantry in Worcester, which is dedicated to supporting Veterans and their families. This volunteer opportunity not only allowed me to give back to those who have served our country but also gave me a renewed sense of community and purpose.
I helped organize and distribute food (fresh eggs and fresh produce), interacted with Veterans, and even had the opportunity to offer a listening ear to those who needed it. It was heartwarming to witness the gratitude of the recipients.
The WooSox are proud supporters of Veterans Inc. and all the important work they do for veterans throughout our region. The WooSox honor local veterans at every Polar Park home game through our "In Debt To A Vet" program, and we frequently rely on the guidance of Veterans Inc. to help us provide veterans with the recognition they deserve. We are lucky to call them a community partner and we applaud them for all of the great work they do.

My experience with Veterans Inc. has been professional and always exceeds my expectations. This cause is true to its word and cares not just about the veteran but their family members, especially during the holiday season.
The golf event was executed flawlessly and players seemed to be very pleasant and content. Wonderful organization!
I was introduced to Veterans Inc this year as I attended their Stand Down. As the past commander of American Legion Post #13 I attended the event to see what resources might be available since we're just down the road in CT. I was overwhelmed by quality of venders and professionalism of the Veterans Inc staff. I not only look forward to working with them from the post level but have passed along their information to other veterans in the area. Keep up the great work!!!
Was impressed with the Veteran Stand Down in Worcester. They had a lot of amazing resources for veterans. Everyone was professional and kind.
Thank you for assisting our veterans!

My volunteer service started a few years ago. We were under the impression of helping homeless veterans.
In reality it is all about the money. We either buy into the lies or we ignore them for our own gain.
Nothing more than a scam.
Great work is being done by this amazing organization! Veterans Inc. is always there for veterans who need assistance. The services provided by the staff are done so with the utmost respect for the clients being served.

Really great volunteers/staff, very dedicated to serving the "total veteran" and providing empathetic services to veterans and their families.
Great services including housing, homelessness prevention, employment/job training, food services, supportive services for veteran families, and substance use treatment. They take care of the "whole" veteran!
Veterans Inc is an invaluable resource to veterans. The group there are professional and passionate about their mission to aide homeless and in need veterans. They go above and beyond to assist every individual on a personal level with care for their individual needs.
Everyone at Vets. Inc. is extremely pleasant and helpful to all the veterans that are in need from clothing, housing and food. And the veterans you meet, by volunteering, are so grateful they have this organization, some call it home! They have a great Food Pantry the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. for all veterans. As a volunteer they always treat me with the upmost respect and are so appreciative of the help that they get from all their volunteers. I am so happy to be a part of this great organization!
I am extremely grateful for veterans inc. at was at a substance program at the JP VA and had some issues of "non conforming" so they told me on a Friday I to be out by Monday. Unfortunately instead of trying to help me out they make excuses for why I couldn't be there.
This is where veterans Inc came in. I called and called and called to try to get into other places and then my last phone call was to veterans Inc they said don't worry and they got me transportation from Jamaica plain to veterans Inc and from there my life changed.
Veterans Inc wa a foundation and a safe place to stay. Being able to talk to staff, social workers, anybody and everybody at any time a day was very important. Unfortunately this is were the VA fails. Not having social workers falling up with veterans and crisis on a weekly basis is detrimental to the veteran. However even after leaving veterans Inc they have people come by see me see how I'm doing and constantly checking up on me.
I am now just about in 9 days hitting the one year clean mark. And if it wasn't for staying at veterans inc. I know I would have been out using again and I probably could have died. We need more veterans Inc locations for sure. I'm truly humbled and blessed to have veterans Inc as part of my sobriety.
This is a wonderful organization for those in the community that lacks the support and resources. I am glad to know that these people are doing their best to help the Veterans who are often overlooked for support. Hope to keep seeing Veterans Inc thrive and being able to keep doing what they keep doing providing for others. Will be looking forward to their upcoming events such as the 5K run!
I work as a volunteer at the Veterans Inc. in Worcester, Mass. I am honored and humbled to be a part of their organization, albeit, only in a small way.
I am the son of a World War II Purple Heart Army Veteran. My Father turned 19 in a fox hole at the Battle of the Bulge, In the middle of January.
Looking back, I know my Father had untreated elements of PTSD all through my childhood and young adult years.
As Veterans Inc succinctly says, “They were there when we needed them. We need to be there when they need us.“
I am proud and grateful that I am able to contribute to the success of Veterans Inc. in helping our Veterans.
I personally have had many wonderful experiences and observations while at Veterans Inc. My most heartwarming experience was a few years ago at the Thanksgiving food pantry day. In a nutshell, a young couple with a little girl, about five years old came through the food pantry and loaded up their carriage with wonderful food. As Mom pushed the carriage out and Dad carried the big frozen turkey, the little girl took my finger and we walked right behind her folks, out to their car. I couldn’t help but notice that the back seat of the little car was full of blankets and pillows, As it hit me that they likely live in this car.
In closing, I would like to say Thank You to every employee and other volunteer at Veterans Inc.. I’m sure they have good days and bad days, long hours and ups and downs… But please know you have made a difference in many of our Veteran’s, and their family’s, lives.
Thank You to each one of You.
Veterans Inc's mission to end homelessness among the veteran population is so inspiring. They are committed to providing exceptional services and programs to veterans that include housing, health and wellness and employment training. Thank you for all you do Veterans Inc!
the place is great at putting on a front. everyone I know who has worked there has talked about how miserable and corrupt it is. I volunteered multiple times and saw inappropriate behavior by the guy who runs it every time. don’t give this place your money.
Without a doubt this is a truly amazing organization. They help military veterans in so many ways to include but not limited to housing, employment, counseling and so many other areas. I had the pleasure of working for Veterans Inc from 2013-2014 and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. They have assisted so many veterans and continue to do so. The most professional organization I have ever worked for.
Thank you for helping our veterans and their family members. I have been able to see all the wonderful things the organization does for our veterans.

Our interactions with Veterans Inc. have been as donors on several occasions. We continue to donate because we know that time, funds and staff members are all 100% committed to the cause of helping Veterans in need.
Veterans Inc is an incredible organization that works tirelessly in helping all aspects of life affecting our veterans. I have confidently worked with and donated to this organization because the sweat equity and money go straight toward the greatest needs with full transparency on funds spent. They work within the community to strengthen the support surrounding our veterans and honor the sacrifices they have all made.
I started volunteering at Veterans Inc many years ago and all I can say is that they continually go above and beyond to serve our veterans in need.
Veterans Inc. is an excellent charity with a great mission... to be there for our veterans in their time of need. Highly recommend supporting their work.

Hi! I first came to know Veterans Inc. by meeting two incredible Veterans, who also volunteer. My first experience volunteering was at the annual Stand Down event, which hosts and supports so many Veterans in the community. I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I wanted to help, and I was floored! The selfless, tireless effort that is put in by this organization is something you need to see to experience...truly an amazing team!! They are serious about creating better lives for those who served us best, and many are Veterans themselves. Thank You so much for your service, and carrying out such an impactful mission!!
I have had the opportunity to meet the people being helped by veteran's inc. I can't imagine where they would be if they didn't get the help they did.
I have volunteered at Veterans Inc for the past eight years. I have seen first hand their genuine concern and determination to ensure our veterans get back on their feet and into the mainstream of society. I have a personal friend that progressed through their program and he has successfully returned to a productive lifestyle. The leadership and staff allow our veterans to regain their dignity and hope for a better life in the country they served.
I have had the pleasure of visiting this non profit with my service dog training class as well.as volunteer to serve holiday meals.
The individual support and attention given to these men and women is first class. I will proudly continue to support this organization.
They do amazing work and I love volunteering here. They do so much amazing work for our nation’s finest
They are awesome! They do so much for the Veteran's and everyone that we've worked there is so appreciative.
I was in your New Britain housing, first got there July 2017 staff seemed helpful , other veterans there very pleasant, but as time went on house leadership declined drastically starting with counselor. Only 2 there , one was pleasant other rude and no regards to privacy of others, talked down to vets in need in person or over phone, hence privacy, the house manager has no clue , paper pusher, house and grounds are an eyesore, old mattresses sitting on side of building for a year, bed bug issue. Place is run poorly. Nice to have your own studio apt. but could be run a lot better with a house manager that served instead of non service person. No help with addiction or anything at this facility they just throw you out, no transportation help even though they have a van.
The staff is amazing. They care for our veterans with such love and gratitude. I am thankful everyday that my brothers and sisters have this organization providing these needed services, and in the manner in which they provide them. Thank you Veterans Inc!!
Please take the time to read this VETERANS mostly. Donot think that you are forgotten about . So many times I hear Veterans falling on hard times and being blind to so many things that is rightfully for us. Ecspecially being that we fought for our country weather it was 4 years or 24 years. I was one of those people. Fallen on hard times, had no resources, no finances, no family assistance. I found out about the diffrent easter seals veterans assistance programs. It was a miracle really and truly. They are even helping me now with job placement. I mean its unbelievable how many people are in my situation and feel like they have no help. Get help now, I worked with great people. It was fast, not weeks or months or years. It was simple and its free. My name is Erica.E and that is my story. There are some amazing people there just waiting to assist you!!!
The best! No other organization serves veterans the way veterans inc does. They are to be commended.
One the most outstanding Post 9/11 Employment Programs funded by the Call of Duty Endowment. The entire team is amazing, and all combat veterans that can relate to the challenges we as veterans face. They helped me land the career I was desperately searching for, and even stayed connected to insure the onboarding process was smooth. I highly recommend reach out to this great team! I'm sure their other services are just as top notch, however I did not use them. Thank you for all that you do for us veterans!
Veterans Inc is an incredible organization. I cannot say enough positive things about this place. They above all put Veterans and their families first. From the food pantry to clothing donations to various treatment programs, the veterans come first. They have even bigger plans for the future to provide even more programs and support to our veterans.
Only non profit I trust with my donations. You can actually see where the money is going and the direct affect it has on troubled veterans.
My son is actively in the Army deployed right now so myself and his mother-in-law decided to give back to our veterans. We will be cooking a meal and doing some volunteering. This is a great Organization to help our Veterans during there hard times.
As a resident having been in the program for over a year, I can tell you that the Shrewsbury facility provides good living quaters, the actual case management and help provided is the bare minimun.
The case managers are mostly hands off when it comes to helping the vets rehabilitate (i.e. find housing, transportation and meals) are not what was advertised to the veterans prior to moving there (Independence Hall in Shrewsbury). Also the day shift case manager continuously dismissed the veterans health issues, including chronic and severe illnesses just to make sure the books look good for the VA when they come in unannounced.
We are tired of being ignored, not listened to and forced to change our medication routines and care just so they don't look bad.
Take care of the veterans first. They are terrified of the VA and donors pulling funding.

Love Veterns inc, I can share with fellow Veterans and help them continue to march forward, this is what life is about, to be one, and grow strong again, we do it together!

I was being evicted due to upgrades in apartments. (cheaper than placing us in hotel). I am not well and have zero money to move with. I have been here ten (10) years and have a lot of accumulated things along with furniture. I had NO idea of what to do, or where to go. I had just gotten a letter for an emergency heart exam, and just recently was told my internal organs were calcifying (hardening). I was kind of sick about the whole ordeal. No mercy from greedy real estate company. I was looking at life on the street for a long term. I would not have made it very long. I have several other physical probs (agent orange).
Even now I have to fight back the urge to shed a tear over what seemed at the time HOPELESS.
About the time i was being dragged into court for refusing to move, Beth Barbra from Veterans Inc came into my life. She turned out to be heaven sent.
My situation was so compounded with problems of every kind imaginable I saw no way out, but Beth did. She took control of my shattered situation and somehow began to piece it back into a hopeful condition. I went from thinking I had come to my end, to today, when Beth called and told me my new apartment had been approved and I once again had a home.
I am to meet her tomorrow for paperwork and to arrange moving and even to meet with a gentleman who stores used furniture for vets to freely take. Beth set me up with my VSO in my city, and also with the new one where I am moving to. She helped me with everything I needed, including (and most importantly) GIVING ME HOPE. She is the finest person I have met in many years, and the most thorough I think I know.
I am here today and healthier than I had expected because of Veterans Inc, and BETH Barbra.
I had not felt so totally hopeless in over 40 years before contacting this organization.
They have hooked me up with other organizations I did not even know existed.
Through Veterans Inc, I have found a place to live, gotten health care I DESPERATELY needed, and been put on a Veterans program that allows me a bit more money.
There is even a brand new bed coming my way thanks to Veterans Inc. My life has gone from dismal and hopeless, to a bright and expectant future. I will allows remember Beth and Veterans inc. They have a place at my table any time. Thank you for being there and thank you for caring. (My new place is bigger, newer, nicer, and less expensive. Thanks Beth).
{What I have written is not nearly so bad as my situation was, and the help I received from this organization is not nearly explained well enough.
Some years ago, I worked at Veterans Inc. I had to leave after a while due to health problems. What I observed there was amazing and heart warming. You see, I am a US Army Veteran. This wonderful place gives food, shelter, training, medical care, clothes and much, much more. To see fellow veterans with nothing, then, being at Veterans Inc., I saw them eating chef prepared delicious meals.( I ate there all the time!) I saw them talking with each other, socializing, and best of all, I saw these men and women, happy, smiling, with a new sense of dignity. The entire staff from the CEO on down are kind, compassionate people, who bring comfort and respect to the unfortunate people. Any Veteran can eat a meal there, and be in the company of fellow veterans. There is no cost for the meal. Just have your proof of service, DD-214 and you are all set. They have food baskets distributed at Thanksgiving Time, help with obtaining housing, it is a real MIRACLE what they do down there. I am sure, that without them, many veterans would not be alive today. They deserve all the financial support you can afford to give, other donations are welcome as well. Food, clothing and other things are happily received by these wonderful people. You can call them, and they will tell you what is needed. If everyone took care of veteran's needs like Veterans Inc. does, many of the veterans problems would be non-existent. It is truly remarkable, just remarkable.

I have been volunteering at Veterans, Inc. for the last few months. As a kitchen helper/lunch server on Saturdays, I feel that I make an important contribution to the organization. It is meaningful work and I leave with a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, I feel appreciated for my efforts. The work environment at Veterans Inc. is enjoyable and I enjoy the people I share the kitchen with, both paid staff and residents.
I visited Veterans Inc this week as I desperatly was seeking help for me and my family. I had to disolve my business 15 months ago due to significantly decreased deman for services since the housing crash in 2008. Since dissolved my business I have been unable to make a mortgage payment or pay any of my financial obligations. My family and I are now very close to being homeless. The folks at veterans inc immediatly went to work requesting my DD-214 so I can apply for Veteran services. Today I was registered to receive food from their food bank. I served our nation with pride and worked very hard to achieve the American dream, and in the blink of an eye I have lost everything. I'm now 57 years old feeling like the world has fallen on my head. I know have a renewed hope to salvage whats left of my life thanks to Veterans Inc
They provide wonderful services to veterans and their families! I have seen so many lives touched by this organization and their awesome staff!
Wonderful organization, staff and volunteers. They strive to make sure everyone is treated with respect.
Too many stories to tell. They are incredible, from the amazing services they provide to the way they provide those services, with compassion and respect. The staff has always blown me away. They are the best!
I have had several experiences with Veterans, Inc. and am always impressed at the ways they find to help veterans, whether through a big corporation or through individuals. They are always coming up with new ways to help and Vince works tirelessly to bring in new fund raising and grant monies. Keep up the awesome work!
Veterans Inc. does amazing things in support of veterans. The people who work at this institution are caring, thoughtful and downright amazing.
We love the work they do to support the veteran community.
Veterans Inc. in Maine is remarkable! They provide a residential facility in Lewiston -- which is home to case management, employment & training, and supportive services staff who are ready to assist Maine veterans and their families. In addition, Veterans Inc. provides mobile outreach and services at their offices in Lewiston and Portland and at partner locations across the state. The Veterans Inc. Maine team provides homeless veterans and veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless with transitional housing, assistance accessing permanent housing, counseling, case management, employment services, job training, family support programs, benefits counseling and advocacy, and temporary financial assistance. As an OEF Veteran (currently serving in the ARNG) -- it's the best place to seek help, volunteer, and serve the community. I love Veterans Inc.
Veterans Inc saved our lives. If it wasn't for Ashley helping us out, we would be homeless and in dire straits. She and Veterans Inc. Are our angels and we thank God that we found them. We feel extremely blessed to have received their help and cannot thank them enough for their help. Thank you Veterans Inc. SBD especially Ashley, for helping us during our time of greatest need.
God bless...
I have had the opportunity to host benefits where I work and the money raised went to Veterans Inc. which is in Lewiston Maine. So far we have raised $1039.00 and I am so grateful that I am able to help. When I call to tell them I have raised money they are so thankful. My father was a veteran in the Korean Conflict and my son was in Iraq to help with Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am so proud of all who serve, and am forever grateful. There is a need for help with our veterans, so every little bit helps. Thank You to all our veterans!!!!
Veterans Inc. Is an amazing company that cares solely for vets and their families. They fight against homelessness, hunger, and much more!
I arrived at Veterans Inc in 2009, with the clothes I had on. They took me in, gave me clothes.food and shelter.took clases at the shelter and one on one counseling.
They assisted me so I could return to college where I received degree with honors. Then assisted me with job search
Thanks to Veterans, Inc, I have my own apartment and car,and I am a proud productive person.
Thank you, Veterans, Inc

in June I attended the stand down at Veterans Inc. It was very well put together with so much thought into what the various needs would be. I am a senior citizen and I wanted to get information on services available for elderly veterans when the need arises. I had the pleasure of meeting with some of the staff from an organization who provide these kinds of services. My questions got answered and it gave me a lot of relief to know before hand what services are available. In addition to the support services at the stand down Veterans Inc provided us with meals in a very nice atmosphere. last but not least they made available to each of us clothing and toiletries which was such a treat. This was my first stand down but it will not be my last, Veterans Inc. did an outstanding job and I salute them.
Veterans inc. gave me a place to stay, fed me and helped me get recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.........It was hard and at first whined and complained about having to do chores and trying to cheat the system by using while staying there, but even when I relapsed they gave me another chance and got me work..........I have been Drug and alcohol free for 5 years and it was because I had a place like veterans inc. to help me in my time of need.......it's also good to know that if something bad happens and I should find myself homeless or jobless that I have veterans inc. to fall back on..........
Most people in the 69 Grove St facility are not Vets. They were kicked out of the military. They are under investigation for over a million dollars missing. NPR has the story. The Vice President is living in the Shrewsberry facility while he makes 6 digits a year. They take food stamps for fees when the VA pays them $1800 a month for each true vet.
For the most part the do a great Job.
They fall way below expectations when it comes to the LGBT especially Transgender Veterans. I personally had to file a HUD based case against D Leary the Executive Director of Veterans Inc and Veteran's Inc itself though Mass Commission Against Discrimination in 2013.
I have had the pleasure and honor of volunteering at the Lewiston, Maine Veteran's Inc. facility. The individuals that work there are committed to helping Veteran's lives better and I see how their lives have been enriched by the show of positive support as they work to get their lives back on track. They are provided avenues of support through community events, physical, educational and work opportunities. I can say that I have seen the personalities of the Veteran's living here blossom and shine thanks to this superb organization. I am a Proud supporter of Veteran's Inc. as they are all making a positive difference in our community and in the lives of many.
As a Universal Services Advocate (case manager) in the Maine Region, I can attest from first-hand experience that Veterans, Inc. is laser-beam focused on helping veterans in need. Whether it's housing, employment, financial assistance, or other services or referrals, with Veterans, Inc. it is all about the veteran and what can be done to help them. That mindset is solely what drives and motivates those who work with and for Veterans, Inc., from the organizations founders and top management to the newest employees. It is this servant-leadership that has made Veterans, Inc. succeed in the past, has made them successful in the present, and will keep them growing and successful in the future. Veterans, Inc. does important, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful work on behalf of those who have sacrificed for us in the past: our nation's military veterans.

SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT AT VETERANS INC. MANY OF MY FELLO VETERANS THAT HAVE RECD. SERVICES FROM THEM COMPLAIN THAT THE STAFF IS ALLOW TO EAT MEALS AT THE SHELTER FREE OF CHARGE , THE DONATION ARE INTENDED TO BE GIVEN TO THE HOMELESS VETERANS NOT THE STAFF WHO MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY THEIR WAY , THERE ARE ALSO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STAFF TAKING HOME DONATED ITEMS , SOMETHING IS GOING ON
